Long time no post, forgot my password and all that haha. Anyway, Kiyo's designs, with her new lore and so on.

So Wukong, many years ago fell in love with Nochipa, a demigoddess daughter of the god Tlaloc (an Aztec god) and both became sweethearts, had their adventures, etc, etc, etc.

By fate, Wukong messed with an Aztec god, this god was upset and threw a “curse” to Wukong and Nochipa as revenge, where both were destined to meet again in all their lives (Nochipa is mortal), but she would always die because of Wukong. And as many years go by, Wukong meets many versions of her and she always ends up dying because of him. Wukong decides to stop looking for her, only to find out that Nochipa is now called “Kiyo”, is the sister of MK -his successor- and that she is a fan of his story and of him in general. Now Wukong has many internal debates about whether to try again or leave her alone so that she can finally have a happy and peaceful life without him.

So I'm a crazy girl who loves Sun Wukong, he means a lot to me as do I think a lot of others. My character (Kiyo) is a fan character that I created to ship with Wukong, at least at first, until I wanted to represent a few things. I'm interested in Aztec culture (I'm Mexican) and I wanted to make Kiyo something like the daughter of Tlaloc, although her story is not written/defined yet since I have two completely different ideas and I don't know which one to use, so for now, I'd just like to make cute drawings of an extroverted monkey that doesn't let himself be tamed by anyone next to an introverted girl who tries to be brave.

By the way, this drawing is inspired by this other illustration that I like a lot, I like the look of the woman watching the man and I think Kiyo would see Wukong in the same way.
