“ I see – are you a local of this town?” She asked. “I’m Madge it’s a pleasure to meet you.” She greeted giving the male a once over. “Do you know many people here?”

“I guess that’s true, we’re not quite out of the polar vortex here. That does sound unfortunate, you must have felt like you won the lottery when you found out that a place like Hollow was so far up North.”

“Well, I’ve been here most of my life. My parents moved us here when I was about six. Before that, we were living close to Chicago, so I guess I was just always in the cold.”

“Demanding ass.”

“Yes. But you’re going to do it.”

“I’ll wear whatever the hell I want, and I may or may not show up.”

“I’ll be home around six. Something pretty, Ella. No sweatpants.”

“Oh god, I’m going to regret this, aren’t I?”

“Definitely. Oh, and we’re going on a date tomorrow night. Wear something pretty.”

“This is going to end really badly.”

“I think it’s going to end well. Hopefully with both of us very old and grey and still fighting about whether or not we’ll make it.”

“I don’t know how to be in a relationship.”

“I’m fairly aware of that, actually.”

“They’re not scars, Kit. They’ll go away when I’m not pregnant anymore.”

“The point is, I don’t care about the stupid stretch marks, or any of your other issues. I wouldn’t have stuck around this long if I did. I like you, okay? A lot. Enough that I kind of wanted to go find Ethan and rip his head off last night.”

“It has been colder here, so I guess that almost fifty degrees is on the warmer side in terms of our climate. Spring is approaching, after all. Does that mean you practically boil when Summer rolls around?”

“Well, it does help that Summer doesn’t get all that warm around here. But yeah, I don’t do great in the heat. It’s unfortunate.”

“I think you’re forgetting about the parts where I’m shitty and fucked up and cowardly, and have ugly stretch marks on my stomach.”

“And all of those things make up you. And I like you. I think you’re exactly the kind of woman I could spend a very long time with. Besides, the stretch marks are cool. I’ve got a few scars myself, why would I complain about yours?”

“What do you want from me?”

“I want everything. Every part of you. That’s what a relationship.”
