A plume of dust kicked up behind Lairon, a roar cracking through the air. Feet hitting the ground like thunder as she tore down the path towards the oncoming Donphan. The two pokemon colliding in a display of power. 

Brendan was never the best battler. While he did train hard his talents laid in contests. However, a battle was always inevitable when Ethan was in the same region as he was. They had a knack for popping up in the same town at the same time. And of course, Brendan would never say no to a challenge. 

Granted the challenge hadn’t even been initiated yet, but Mason always seemed to know when a certain special Donphan was around. A laugh split Brendan’s mouth into a smile. “I thought I caught whiff Johto!” He exclaimed, watching the dust settled around the two pokemon.

Renee had found far too much free time on her hands since classes had ended. Her school work had kept her very busy and Renee had relished in it. It had been some time since she’d been able to read whatever she wanted; to be able to learn things without being rebuked for it.

With the heat of summer, Renee found herself longing for some company. Classes were no longer there to keep her occupied and it would probably do well to get herself some new friends. She thought of Ethan, deciding that he would probably want to get out for a bit. So the woman put on her bathing suit under her clothes, grabbed two towels, and packed a small back. It wasn’t a long walk from her small apartment and she came upon the other in his room. “Hey.” She smiled. “You feeling up for a beach trip... Maybe?” She looked hopeful.

                         Lies. Dirty, filthy lies.  Elizabeth cursed the weather forecast as she stood under a tree, with soaked clothes and a wet book in her hand. All she wanted was to sit by the pond in the park and enjoy her favorite book. She was so focused on the fictional story that she didn’t notice the approaching rain clouds. Only the sudden downpour made her realize that she was the only person left in the park.

And now, she was hiding under this tree, freezing, and to top it all, her favorite book was ruined. She looked around, searching for a better shelter. Her apartment was at the other side of the city, and since she didn’t want to drive her bike through the rain, she had to wait until it stopped. To her sorrow, she didn’t know this part of Scottsdale very well.

A man who seemed just as soaked as she was , caught her attention as he walked fast paced across the street. Elizabeth quickly took her bike and followed the man.            “Excuse me, do you know a nice place to wait until the rain is over?”
