I keep getting told to take it easy, which I think I'd be good at if I didn't have two kids to take care of. Fortunately, my mom was here earlier giving me a hand and got Finn to nap. Both of them were asleep at once! It was really magical. Instead of taking that time to clean or do one of a million things that keeps running through my mind, I watched the office and did my makeup for the first time since Max was born. I'm not usually a lipstick person (it always smears and wears off no matter what), but knowing I'm not going anywhere seemed a good time to play around. Now, we're watching nightmare before Christmas bc that's Finn's current #1 jam and who am I to deny him simple pleasures (especially if it means he'll be chill for an hour and a half)? My bruised up insides can't take more excitement than that anyway.

Old hair. Old apartment. Former ability to do hair and makeup. I'll be able to again one day. For now at least I have cute pictures to look back on. #vanityisasocialconstruct #imsotired #soverytired
