stubborn as all

prickly & precise

subtle stabbing

then subtle caring

repeatedly.

the ramblings of

the emotionally

drained.

leaving the pieces of us in shatterings about our bare feet,

a ravening void where once was granite solidity.

but then we dropped to our cut knees, fingers ableeding,

and slowly but surely, set ourselves to the intricate task

it should be a crime to break a heart you should be locked in my mind's prison serving an endless life sentence in solitary begging for repentance

was my love not perfect enough? am i not the one your heart needs? and why can't you just talk to me? left here with a billion questions again

but i know i can't hold a grudge i can hardly move in this sludge i can pretend we're still in love but i can't kill how i feel again
