Toy Story (1995)
When I was a toddler I would watch this movie two, sometimes three, times EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I'm don't even know what part of it had me so captivated. It's kinda funny, despite having seen it a bazillion times, there are other movies I can quote far better. ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
The first time I saw E.T. I was maybe 5 and it took me several tries to get through the whole thing because I would get too scared when the government agents showed up.
Slow Torture Puke Chamber (2010)
The last film in the original Vomit Gore series :3 As with the first one, I was getting bored by the end. It gets repetitive and the pacing is slower here. I do like the ending though. I like Angela. I understand how she feels.

ReGOREgitated Sacrificeย (2008)
Man, this porn has a really intense soundtrack. This is the second film in the Vomit Gore trilogy and I like it more than the first. It's easier to follow and feels more relatable; I feel like I understand Angela better now. Still bananas though ๐

Slaughtered Vomit Dolls (2006)
A great example of not judging a book by its cover! Hearing and reading a little about it and Lucifer Valentine in general, I was really too nervous to watch this. Today, for whatever reason, I thought "f it" and it's really not a life shatteringly horrific as it's made out to be. I was even a little bored by the end but I didn't dislike it. It feels like something I'd have on in the background while doing other stuff. Well, now I gotta watch the rest of the series ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ Oh, and since today is Easter, Slaughtered Vomit Dolls is now an official Easter movie ๐๐ท๐ฌ๐ซ๐

Annihilation (2018)
This is one of those ones where, objectively, I don't think it's a great movie, but I do really like it. The Shimmer is so beautiful, I wish I could be part of it.
Spirit: Stallion of The Cimarron (2002)
Watched it as a kid, thought it was cool. Rewatched it as an adult, fully cried.
The Lion King (1994)
The Lion King came out the year I was born but I didn't see it until I was 23. I feel like I wouldn't have even like it as a little kid. Everything moves so fast, there wasn't time for me to connect with or care about these characters. That sounds so hipster-y "tOo MaInStReAm FoR mE" ๐ I can't really come down on it though, I'm hella not the target audience
Schoolgirl Apocalypse (2011)
The ending caught me so incredibly off guard ๐ฆ

Thanatomorphose (2012)
Objectively, I don't think this is a great movie. The acting is questionable and the style feels like a direct rip from Antichrist from Lars von Trier, but I do like it. I've rewatched it numerous times. I don't know what it is exactly; maybe the angst of a failing artist? The refusal to accept the reality of the situation? The desperation and hopelessness permeating it all?

Drag Me To Hell (2009)
Overall, I felt like it was pretty "meh". The plot ain't nothin' special but the ending is really funny. It think this was an awkward, sort of transitional time for special effects and the kind used here are rather cartoonish, which is funny, but detracts from the horror element of this horror movie
Pi (1998)
A Darren Aronofsky movie, so you know it's gonna be some crazy shit. I had feelings I didn't know existed while watching this man yell about numbers and get chased down by a sketchy corporation and Hasidic Jews.
Animal Soccer World (1998)
Another hit from Dingo Pictures! This is so quietly chaotic ๐ This was my expression throughout most of it:
Treasure Planet (2002)
I can't even explain how much I fucking love Treasure Planet. It's in my top 3 movies. The steampunk aesthetic is really cool, but mostly I so super love how the dynamic isn't just good vs bad, there's a complexity to the relationship between Jim and Silver that, even as a kid, really pulled at my heartstrings. It still blows my mind that it was so poorly received in theaters.

Balto (Dingo Pictures, 1997)
Okay, you NEED to watch this movie. It's only 30 minutes long but it has everything. Clunky animation, reused scenes, bad voice acting, situationally inappropriate music, and stuff that doesn't make any sense. What the fuck is this movie? ๐๐งโ๐ฆ ๐๐ฅ๐ง.
Music (2021)
By now we've all heard the terrible reviews and discussions about the horrible autism "representation" in this film, and yeah, 100%, absolutely. Dissertations could be written about all of the movie's problems in that regard, but also ...everything else about the movie. Everything that could be wrong with a movie is wrong with this movie.
It's boring, the script is awkward, the acting is mediocre, there's a random side plot thrown in there like they were just trying to eat up some extra time, the pacing is weird, it has racial stereotypes, and musical cut scenes that feel out of place and don't even make use of Maddie Ziegler's skill as a dancer. The movie isn't even really about the girl with autism, she's just a plot device for her sister's redemption arc. It's not like "If the autism representation had been better the movie would be good". There are no redeeming qualities.
And I've heard people criticize that the autistic character isn't played by someone with autism, but would anyone with autism want to be in this movie? Can you imagine a director telling you "Okay, this is the scene where you crawl under a park bench, pull chewed gum off of it, and put it in your mouth. Next we'll do the part where Kate wrestles you to the ground and pins you there." The fuck?
