I know hes the bad guy but like Iook at him.
I would have kept him locked up too.
He's plainly the bad guy. He's also the only man Gabi actually has any time and attention for - at least until she gets some therapy to help her find a normal life and break this cycle. She's his only peace and contentment and the show specifically blocks scenes to show him basking in her intellect and presence. He was plotting to spend the rest of his life with her as his wife. She might have kidnapped him, but he woke up in her basement cell and decided to stay kidnapped.
If we're supposed to be disgusted by Hugh Evans, casting did not get the note. Found needed to be more real about the word choices in their own scripts. He's in love with her. It's complicated, but he IS in love with Gabi. It's not their past, because it is active and ongoing.
It gets confusing morally because Hugh Evans is a terrible person who was abused himself in the same vague way Found could only imply. It's not a show about pretty privilege, but they used it to get people watching.
