Hi, I'm Haruka Nanase. I'm looking for Rin Matsuoka. In my canon I was a merdolphin (a merman but instead of the tail being just fish, it was dolphin.) I only really remember Rin at the moment, when we were kids I washed up on the shore, I got a plastic can holder stuck around my neck. I'm pretty sure I was dying there from dehydration after a while until I was found by Rin. He helped me back into the ocean and we became best friends. He went to Australia not long after that- (1/2)
(2/2) He came back again after a while but I think he sort of forgot about me or told himself I couldn’t have existed. I had a pretty large milky white scar around my neck from where I struggled and the plastic cut in a bit, I didn’t get sunlight very often (obviously) so they didn’t really fade. I think this is a bit of a long shot but it’s worth a try so- If anyone remembers me please hit me up @fukakaeru. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that. I think most of us feel that way, at least for a little bit. When I first discovered that I’m otherkin, I tried pushing it out of my mind at first. I was scared that no one would accept me so I kept denying it. But you shouldn’t do that to yourself. You’re not weird, you’re simply being yourself and that’s wonderful!
Being sheepkin isn’t weird at all. It’s part of who you are. If people have been wolves, dragons, and many other creatures in a past life, why can’t someone be a sheep? Sheep are absolutely wonderful, so gentle and soft. That’s not something to be ashamed of!
Most people that aren’t kin see us as strange, but that’s ok. There will always be people that will accept you for who you are, even if you can only find them online. You don’t have to tell anyone irl if you don’t want to. The most important thing is to be open and accept yourself, and if that takes a long time, that’s ok!
What helped me a lot when I first awakened is connecting with other therians/otherkin. There are some otherkin discord servers and forums, and from my experience most are very friendly and accepting. The first that I joined is kinmunity.com but there are many others as well. Anyway, I hope you’re having a good day! :)

Autumn is such a beautiful season! I can see why you would miss it. Remember that the earth is always moving forward, and each day you and it move closer to seeing autumn again. Maybe in the meantime you could watch youtube videos relating to your kintype. I know it’s not as good as the real thing, but it might help. Hang in there!

Factkin is when someone is kin with a human that existed/is existing. For example: Will Smith, Albert Einstein, William Shakespeare, Jay-Z, etc.
(trigger warning ahead?) Hello guys, could I have some positivity for a Sans (Undertale) who just remembered really bad stuff from his canon? Papyrus and I were abused by our dad Gaster; long story short, I was molested and my brother got experimented upon, other things happened too to the both of us. After I remembered, I was a mess for the entire day, and it still affects me greatly. I, like, relived the trauma from that life, and I just feel awful. I can't get over it, and it pains me (1/2)
(Sans 2/2) that we didn’t have a good dad like some other Skelebros kins - because I know there are good, loving Gasters out there, sadly ours wasn’t at all. I don’t even know if you can help or if you have any advice for helping me feel better, but I needed to talk about it. Thank you for listening :’)
Hey sans, sorry that you had to go though all that. I can‘t even imagine what it would be like to relive something terrible like that. I think the first step to feeling better is acknowledging that the abuse was real and valid. Just because it didn’t happen in this life it doesn’t make it any less traumatic. You’ve been though a lot. It’s ok to feel bad about it. Now that you have acknowledged it, accept it as a part of your past and try your best to live the happiest life you can live. Don’t rush yourself, some wounds take longer to heal than others. And perhaps that scar from your past will always be there, but it doesn’t define you. You’re a strong person and you can learn to manage the ups and downs. You are a wonderful person and you deserve to know peace, love, joy, and healing. One day it will get better.

Can I maybe have some positivity for a Genji from Overwatch who just had some news made canon in the game that's vastly different than my own canon? It made me dissociate for nearly 3 hours when I first heard about it and I still have to fight myself to keep my head clear when I see it again,, it made me scared to think of how much from my canon I don't remember and how much I might be wrong about,,
Hey Genji, sorry you’re feeling unsure about yourself right now. I’m not fictionkin myself, but I’ve met some people who are fictionkin that have cannons that don’t align with things that are cannon. It doesn’t make you any less valid! When I first discovered that I’m catkin, I didn’t start having memories until a few months after, and the ones I do have are very vague. It can be difficult to remember these things. Remember that you are valid, and nobody can tell you otherwise!
