Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog. You can call me Rowan (or whatever really) and I mainly use he/xe. Run by @dusky-echo

This is blog for anyone under the alterhuman umbrella (otherkin, fictionkin, therian, otherhearted, archetrope, fictives, objectkin, plantkin, transspecies, it doesn't matter!). I'm very interested in outward expression of inward identity, especially in the alterhuman community. I think about these things a lot.

Alternatively, volunteer at a local animal rescue, clinic, or daycare

Learn to ride a motorcycle, or a bike if you can't get one

Go to your local shooting range, if you can, and practice your marksmanship

Maybe brush up on survival skills as well

For fashion, I'd recommend worn and distressed materials like leather and denim

You can also accessorize with bone motifs, or practical gear like compasses and flashlights hanging from a carabiner

I don't know if this has been done before, but you might be able to get a cosmetic dentist to give you teeth resembling a rat's. It would probably have to be just slightly elongating the upper and lower front two teeth.

For fashion you could take inspiration from the rat king in ballet, or the rat zodiac sign

Starting with the obvious, learn mixology! Mix your own drinks at home, and if you're too young to do so or don't drink, you can watch videos to learn the process instead

You can also mix random drinks, they dont have to alcoholic. Fruit juices, soda, energy drinks, etc

Wear traditional a traditional bartender uniform; waistcoat, sleeve garters, and all that

Make green your signature color. Wear it whenever you can, purchase all your accessories in their green colorway, maybe wear green makeup

Embrace shapeshifting and wear different masks and makeup styles

Also potentially get gear resembling different mutations

Wear golden-brown outfits with black accents. If black backed, you could wear a black jacket, if side-striped, you could wear a black scarf.

Jackals are often associated with ancient egypt, being representative of anubis. You could incorporate egyptian motifs into your outfits

You can dye your hair the same colors and patterns as your coat, perhaps add a black stripe.

Hobbies

If you identify with the association with anubis, you can learn about ancient Egyptian culture and/or religion, as well as death practices around the world (or just the countries jackals are native)

Jackals are often considered tricksters, perhaps you could learn some riddles and keep others on their toes. Maybe learn sleight of hand.

For clothes, you could go with leopard print if you cant find an exact match. I know its not the same, but it is easier to come by and has a similar look.

I feel like bleach painted clothes would also be good

You could try to recreate coat patterns in your hair. I couldn't find an exact match, but you know what I mean

You could also tattoo spots/patterns on yourself.

Clothes that have one ruffle along the bottom to imitate a fin

Wearing your hair long and in one braid may imitate an eel's body. Also dye it a dark gray-ish color.

Light up or glow in the dark accessories to imitate an electric shock

Wear darkly colored glasses, perhaps the small kind, to mimic poor vision

Always carry a portable charger with you. Offer it to anyone who needs it, like it was your own electricity. Become the charger person. (I'd recommend one that has both an apple cord and a usb)
