further proof that the religious right doesn’t care about anything except their own feelings, to the detriment of everything and everyone around them,
last year we had TWO BIG WILDFIRES that came very close to our little bench, in one case, a half mile away. the little community just north of us on the hill just had a HUGE fireworks celebration last night and kept my dad up. we were JUST in a red flag warning last week. The west half of america is ON FIRE.
this community didn’t want to talk to us (except politely) when my parents said they probably wouldn’t be attending church services. there’s new people mostly there now, but the community still has the stink of the old neo nazi cult on them that used to reside there sixty years ago.
i am so fucking mad. fireworks can so easily go wrong and then suddenly you’ve burned down your community, your neighbors, your neighbors neighbors, and then what???? i swear buying fireworks is one of the biggest red flags i can think of.
