She glared at BOBO, beads of sweat gliding across her forehead, her chest heaving labored breaths. Come on Waves, she thought to herself, You’ve survived worse!       ❝ I mean it, stay back! ❞ she tried to bark out, but it came out weak, like the pitiful mewl of a hungry kitten. ❝ Wynonna’s gonna come for me, you know. She’s gonna come and she’s gonna bring trusty ol’ PEACEMAKER with her! ❞ she snapped, before wincing and hissing in pain, pressing the stained palm of her hand harder against her wound.     WYNONNA would come. She’d come and she’d bring DOC and NICOLE with her, and they’d burst in like the heroes they claimed they weren’t. WAVERLY just had to hold out that long. Her back pressed against the wall, cracked and chipped and AGED. Why was BOBO acting like he suddenly cared? He was mad, Waverly told herself, you don’t question the mad.

"You're hurt.", Bobo replied, shoulders hunched and head pushed forward like an animal, hands dancing in the empty air between them as if feeling out the keys of an invisible piano. The smell of the blood in the air entered through his nose and settled as a burning ache in his jaw and a tingle along his back. "You're bleeding. Drip, drip, drip. Red on white. There is a story, isn't there? About blood on snow?"
