I do wish this was a bonus track on the broadway album, but this cover by the broadway actors for Anastasia and Dimitri would have to suffice. 

THIS IS SO CUTE I-

Sorry if this is so late to catch up about this picture or anyone cares… but as I was searching for pictures to do an edit on photoshop, I saw a picture of Derek during Opening Night Party of Anastasia and then I remember the scene of “Paris Holds the Key to Your Heart” after watching the film numerous times  - I realized that he was channeling the film character of Dmitry/Dimitri! He’s absolutely suited for the role of Dmitry! :D 

They transitioned smoothly from Steve-and-Eydie-like swing to soulful folk to comedy and, of course, to a suite of numbers from Dogfight. I kept thinking that their straight man/wacky gal routine fit into a cultural paradigm that should present lots of potential pairings for them: e.g. they’d be a great Betty and Henry in an Ugly Betty musical, or a perfect Lois and Clark (as long as Klena never had to turn into Superman). But ultimately, the duo they most reminded me of was Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett, and I hope like Julie & Carol, Lindsay and Derek will continue to collaborate and create this kind of special event together throughout their careers.
