Sqh stares at him as sqq explains his reasoning.

So, what if by some system error both SQH and SY died (before Binghe’s return) and were send into a omegaverse au of PIDW?

It starts with SY waking up after the qi deviation but he senses something weird. Like, scents too strong and a weird feeling underneath his skin? His fangs and teeth are a little longer too. Odd.

MQF and YQY are there like the first time, worried. SY stares at them and suddenly, little system windows open on top on their heads with info.

[NEW CHARACTER UNLOCKED!!

MU QINGFANG, QIAN CAO PEAK LORD.

YUE QINGYUAN, QIONG DING PEAK LORD.

And then it clicks.

“Hell no…”

He died. He died and now he’s trapped in a Omegaverse Au! It’s so ridiculous and infuriating. Of course this would happen to him!

He waits for MQF and YQY to leave first before searching for SQH. They were together when everything went to shit. After Binghe was pushed to the abyss, SY became very close to SQH. The weight of the guilt and loneliness was eating him alive. SQH was the only one who knew the truth, and therefore only he could help.

Their demise was so sudden. The system glitched out of nowhere, they didn’t even got time to say goodbye. SY feels a pit in his stomach, and if he isn’t here with him?

He goes to An Ding.

SQH smiles at him when he sees him approach. SY runs to him and hugs him. SQH laughs and returns the hug. He smells so sweet and makes his mouth water for some reason.

“God, I am so relieved. I thought for a moment the system sent me here alone. What even is this world? A badly written fanfic? Of all the AUs, we stumble into an omegaverse one.” He keeps rambling without noticing the way SQH tenses.

“A-Yuan?” He asks, sounding uncertain. SQH holds his shoulders and pushes him away slowly, staring at him with wide eyes.

“Yeah, it’s me.”

SQH eyes fills with tears. His scent becomes… burnt? It fills SY with panic and a strong sense of protection.

“Hey, hey, it’s ok. I’m here.” He says softly, caressing SQH’s cheek. The man cries and buries he face in his chest.

It takes a while for SQH to calm down, when he does he then explains he arrived into this world years before SY and thought they would never met again.

SY assured his friend he is here now and they can’t face the system together and do it better this time since the plot hasn’t started officially. SQH nods, but he seems absent and his scent now is quite sour. It makes his heart ache.

They part and promise to meet again.

Quickly 3 months has gone by. SY discovers he’s an alpha and there’s a ton of new shit he needs to learn about pack dynamics, scent control and instincts. It’s… a lot. At least everyone thinks that his lastest Qi deviation is at fault for his lack of control.

SQH tries to help (turns out he is an omega) but SY doesn’t want to burden him. He seems so depressed lately.

It’s in the middle of a sect meeting when the cat is finally out of the bag. SQH falls sleep in his seat, no one else’s noticed at first and SY decides not to wake him since he seems to truly need the rest. Slowly, a sweet milky scent fills the room and everyone present stops talking.

Someone gaps, there’s murmurs, SY hears the words “pregnant”.

Under the gaze of everyone’s, SQH flutters his eyes open. He looks around confused by the stares until he smells himself.

He pales, realizing he lost control of his scent revealing his secret to his martial siblings.

There’s a commotion. A pregnant, mateless omega will only reflect badly on the sect. The more strict peak lords demands for him to get rid off it, others that he just marries for image sakes. They demand a name, an answer. Accused him of being shameless. SQH stays silent through the slander with wide, glassy eyes. He only whimpers, holding his tears.

SY has enough. He allows he new found instincts to take over to make everyone stop with a growl before taking SQH back with him to Qing Jing peak. There, he allows SQH to cry until he calms down. He asks him if it’s Mobei-Jun’s child, but SQH begs him not to inquire further.

By morning, everyone on the sect knows about SQH’s pregnancy. The following days are a mess SY decides to stay close to SQH to shield him from judgement, not even realizing his actions give the impression he is making a public claim over the omega.

Once QQQ calls SY on it, he finds he doesn’t mind. Actually, it makes his chest warm. Its… odd. He prefers not to think about it.

After a few months SQH has officially moved into Qing Jing with SY. The stress is getting to him, he needs constant scenting and bed rest. SY is eager to help.

The both of them become closer than they were in the past life. SY realizes he may have feelings for SQH after a failed visit from their sect leader (oh my god did he just showed his fangs to YQY?!!! What is wrong with him?!)

SQH notices a change in his behavior. He can’t say he is not… unaffected. He DOES feel something for SY but it’s messy. Complicated. And the birth is getting close. And when everyone sees the baby…

It will damage both of them. Badly.

He needs to come clean.

They are cuddling close when SQH whispers the truth.

“It’s Shen Jiu’s.”

“Mm?” Murmurs Shen Yuan, confused.

“The baby. It’s Shen Jiu’s.”

There’s silence, tears, guilt. SQH doesn’t blame SY but feels guilty for having feelings for him while he uses the face of his old lover.

SY holds him tightly. Guilt, remorse, he knows it’s the systems fault but replacing a villain and replacing his best friend lover, a parent who didn’t even know was going to be one (SQH never got to tell him) , was something else. He cries and apologizes over and over again and it breaks them both.

They hug, they cry. But most importantly, they both vow to face this together.

Wait so SQH ended up in the world earlier, tried to get close to SQQ or went crying to him before he figured SY didn't make it. But SQQ was already hooked? Shenanigans happen and they end up together, I wonder how OG!SQQ reacted to the whole MBJ spy thing. The part where SY gets Isekaid once their relationship reaches the part where a child is to join them. So heartbreaking!!

Imagine if SQQ was replaced in the SVSSS PIDW tho. This is a world where everything is less sharper and ppl don't rely on scents to convey things, there are whole new customs to follow. Wdym his old disciple is chasing him? Who tf is LBH??

And then the cherry on the top is that SQH is either dead or definitely not the man he liked or known about. Not the one he loved. And just, poor guy, he's going through crisis after crisis :(

Eventually he finally understands SY didn’t come back with him. This is the REAL SJ. It’s both mortifying and sad. He does cry for SY and tries to stay away from SJ but now it’s SJ won’t let him go. Who does SQH think he is? Forcing him to endure his company, teaching him how it feels to have someone fighting for you no matter what, and NOW he wants to give him space? No. SQH doesn’t get to leave now.

SQH is very, very confused by this but he is also very lonely and doesn’t fight it. SQQ is sharp and mean but also honest and loyal. SQH is used to him. He likes SQQ a lot and doesn’t bother to hide.

SQQ eventually falls for him and pursues him. They keep it a secret, since they don’t want any of their martial brothers meddling in their business (and SQH is too paranoid to risk the only good thing that has happened to him in decades)

It’s not an easy relationship. SQQ is by no means a soft man but he learns to be. SQH learns to trust him in turn and reveals the existence of MBJ. In this life MBJ and him are friends. Thanks to the knowledge from his past life and the omegaverse factor (understanding his kings emotions through scent) SQH has an easier time reading him.

SQQ is NOT happy by this revelation and demands to meet MBJ. What those two talked about behind closed door SQH would never know but MBJ stop visiting so often. SQQ was very pleased with himself.

So yeah. Basically they have been together for years. No one knows just for a selected few. They did talk about pups a long time ago. If SQH ever got pregnant SQQ would marry him (publicly, this time) in a heart beat.

OH YES! SQQ being so confused and pissed about this new world. So similar yet so different from his. Worst of all? No SQH ): (the O!SQH was killed on SIGHT by MBJ. You think he wouldn’t notice someone was “replacing” his loyal servant? Yeah, no).

The other peak lords are… disappointing by him going back to “normal”. He acts like he used to before his infamous qi deviation. Maybe even worse (he is grieving a world that is not longer).

He adapts quickly to a world without dynamics, but it’s still disorienting. He never realized how much he used to lean into his instincts and scent before this. One bright side to this was the lack of ruts. The down side? No SQH. He didn’t even had his claim mark (they both marked each other, something consider unconventional)

He misses. Everyday, every night. He thinks of him. And when he thinks nothing can’t be worse than this… Luo Binghe arrives. He calls him hi in and chases him with a mad glint in his eyes.

The Luo Binghe from his world is like any other disciple. Good mannered, filial. SQH would favor him, patting his head and gifting him sweets to him and his friends whenever he thought SJ was not watching (wrong, he is always watching)

This Binghe is wrong.

Even worse, he seems to have a certain… obsession towards him.

It’s disgusting.

(Binghe is NOT having a good time ): his shizun is mean again!!!! )

SJ earns his own system! And now he has to earn points for the chance to return to his home.

Soemtimes, the systems allows him to watch SQH as a reward (as if he is watching a livestream) for a few minutes. That’s how he finds out about the pregnancy and eventually about SY replacing him.
