From the link:
“While pregnant, I faced daily struggles and constant fear, as our area was blocked off and the situation deteriorated rapidly. Despite the dire conditions, I managed to survive until the ninth month of pregnancy. I had to escape to a nearby area to find medical care, as no healthcare facilities were operational in my own area. I was fortunate to receive emergency care and give birth to a beautiful baby girl.”
“In the chaos of the war, I have lost everything I once held dear. My savings, which represented years of hard work and dreams for the future, have been wiped out. My job, which provided not only for my family but also gave me a sense of purpose and stability, is no longer a reality. The war has tor apart the life I had built, leaving me without a means to support myself or my loved ones.”
Mohamad has endured immense loss and is now burdened with debt while trying to protect his sister and her five children. He desperately needs our help to secure their safety and give them a fresh start.
We’ve reached 16% of our goal (€3,224/€20,000), but there’s still a long way to go. Every euro makes a difference. Every share spreads hope.
This isn’t about names, backgrounds, or beliefs. It’s about humanity.

I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mohamad S., who is faci… Adam Bin Ali needs your support for Help Mohamad reunite his family
Recently I made some polls that would help me figure out who can afford to donate how much. I will base the following 'categories' based on the answers I received.
Preface: This is NOT a personal budgetting guide. This is just about telling you where you can donate what you've already decided you can afford to set aside for the month / week. Furthermore, if you have to struggle to scrape by, I strongly urge you to reconsider donating. There are others who can afford to donate and you should focus on urging them to do so and sharing fundraisers with them. You should also follow this guide on a dynamic basis. I.E. if you suddenly find yourself out of a job, don't keep donating weekly just because you used to. Likewise if you suddenly score a six figures, please consider increasing the amount / frequency you donate.
If you don't want to follow this guide, don't!! If you prefer donating differently, do so. This guide is exclusively for people who aren't sure what to do and need a little bit of a system but don't know how to start making one.
PS: please do not share what category you belong to in my notes or whatever. I don't need to know.
Those who can afford to donate daily:
According to the poll there's about 9 of you who can afford to donate daily. If you can afford to donate daily, it matches up with the amount of fundraisers for individual families that I queue to post on my blog per day. Please prioritize families that are struggling with difficult healthcare issues, or families who have one or more disabled members who need expensive specialized care. You can find fundraisers to donate to on the lists linked in my pinned post. I personally think this would be helpful because it provides these families in need with that extra help they need. Look out for the fundraisers that I post daily on my blog, or alternatively if you can't pick one you can consult gazafunds, which picks a fundraiser for you if you feel you can't choose one yourself. The people who run the website vet every fundraiser listed there as well.
Those who can afford to donate weekly:
There's far more of you who can donate weekly rather than daily ~ 40-50. I think most effectively it would be best to ask you to donate to mutual aid initiatives for 2 weeks in a row, and then to alternate on the 3rd week and donate to some of the individual fundraisers, prioritarily for people who are in need of medical aid. Having a large amount of people donating to mutual aid efforts every week helps make sure that people are fed through the week and allows for a steady stream of support over time. However it also helps to have people sustain the individual fundraisers with the little extra boost they need outside of the daily donators. This is why I think alternating between both would be most help.
Those who can afford to donate monthly & less often than monthly:
This is the largest donator group and for that reason I strongly urge you to donate to mutual aid groups. Because it consolidates a small amount of donations from hundreds of people and causes the most widespread positive effect. Mutual aid initiatives reach the people who cannot advocate for themselves online and who have no means to ask for donations themselves.
Here's some links to mutual aid efforts for those who will be donating.
Just double checked some of the links and the one to Al-Abbasiya community kitchen was to the wrong location. I fixed the link so you can go back to the original post above and reblog it with the correct link embedded! Thank you and sorry for the mistake.

So rn the US government is starting to defund the National Parks Service, and while this is a bad thing largely because it's mainly being done to open up the possibility of oil drilling in a lot of those areas, I think it also needs to be said that no the National Parks Service was not just there to "protect natural wonders" or whatever. It was there because a lot of those places are incredibly important land to a lot of Indigenous Peoples and if you give it special status that means you can't live on it you can make the natives leave easier because they get arrested if they don't. Like I am very much not in favor of this change as it is being done but I don't think we should respond to it with wholehearted praise of the National Parks System either. Please know the history of the land you live on and visit.
The problem here is not that the national parks service is losing funding, it was a tool of ethnic cleansing, forced removal, and genocide from its inception. It deserves to be talked about as such. The problem here is that that land still does not belong to the native people who inhabited it for thousands of years before colonial intervention. We need to protest the area being claimed by companies that want to exploit their natural resources, and get it back in the hands of the people who once and always should've owned it. We should not let things go back to what they were like under the current National Parks System.

Current progress: $6,056/$18,527
This campaign was previously shared by @/sudan.updates on Instagram
Mujtaba and his family were recently able to get new passports in Port Sudan where they are staying. Now, the next step for them is raising enough money to afford plane tickets so they can evacuate together.
But before they can begin allocating funds for their plane tickets, they must first ensure their immediate needs are met. This has not been easy for them due to the recent decrease in donations. The family has barely received enough to afford their necessities amongst the soaring inflation.
If their campaign continues to stagnate, they will not be able to afford the resources they need survive or their evacuation costs. Please do not stand by and allow their campaign to stagnate further. Offer your support by sharing and donating to Mujtaba's family. You can help, even if all you can spare is $5.
The trans man who was brutalized, tortured and eventually murdered was Black. I’m genuinely so upset by all the viral posts about his murder that completely leave that out.
Black trans people face levels of violence that are completely disproportionate to those of their white counterparts. Even though only 13% of the transgender community is estimated to be Black, Black trans woman make up nearly 1/3s of murder victims. Not to mention the fact that 53% of Black trans people have experienced sexual assault 42% have experienced homelessness and 67 % have experienced police brutality. Racism isn’t just a cis people thing it absolutely exists in the trans community. Frankly Non Black trans people need to start being better allies to their Black siblings because I’ve experienced way too much racism in the trans community.
Here’s his families go fund me. Please donate and share and if you can’t donate at least share.
GFM keeps a fundraiser on the platform for one year. My friend, Randa, @rnd8, has been fundraising to evacuate her family since January of last year. Her elderly father and 3 sisters have evacuated and reunited with her in Rwanda, but her 2 brothers are left behind in Southern Khartoum!
Thankfully, an extension has been given, so please donate and share! We have 10 DAYS - till the end of the month - to raise the final stretch of the goal! You can match me! I have given €10, but you're more than welcome to give any amount!

Guys i don’t want to optimize you if you still care about genocide in gaza .

And didn’t told you before my brother Omar engaged and His fiancee still in north gaza. He asked me alot to tel you about her so he can also be with the love of his life.
Don’t think your contribution is small even the one dollar helps . Sharing also helping.
Go to paypal.me/bushrabo and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.
I think people doesn’t care anymore because there is no donations and that’s understandable but i hope anyone see the post keep helping me and my family
I’m very shy wallah because i keep asking you to help me and my family because we don’t have any source of income and without you we wouldn’t survive. Thank you all
anyway ceasefire doesn't mean boycotts are stopping and BDS has called for a boycott of the new captain america movie. please remember this when it comes out in two weeks. please remember this with the news articles about conservatives boycotting the film, and when those same conservatives claim the movie failed for having a black lead or "being woke".
Marvel Studios included an obscure comics character called Sabra in this movie, who is basically Captain Israel and literally had no necessary reason to be included other than Disney being zionist. this character did not need to be there at all but has been left in despite the ongoing genocide over the past year and a half. BDS put out a call to boycott it in early 2024. BDS strong.
For doing something to myself, we are now in the north of Gaza living on the rubble of our houses, without water, electricity, no internet, or any element of life, we chose this choice because it is in our homeland and better than living in a tent in this cold atmosphere, my wish this year is to end the war, the crossings will be opened and peace in Palestine and the whole world, and the people of Gaza will get their rights like other people of the world, I hope this will happen as soon as possible, to help me and my family, make a gift of my birthday a small donation worth $10, this may be the best birthday gift ever !!!

Among the many people marching north in Gaza is Amal @amalashuor, one of the most brilliant women I've had the pleasure of knowing.
The road is perilous and I fear for her at every moment, but one of the things we can do for her in the meanwhile is not let her campaign stagnate while she is offline. She's vetted here at #175.
Remember this is her only way of providing for her baby daughter. May God keep them safe.
The Story of Mohamed Za’tar’s Family: An Urgent Call for Help
The family of Mohamed Za’tar is living through one of the most challenging situations anyone could face. Since the start of the war, they have been unable to gather £4,000—a sum that is not enough to cover their basic needs, let alone repay the debts they accumulated due to medical expenses and daily living costs.
Today, the members of this family are enduring extreme poverty, unable to secure even the simplest necessities of life. They still cannot afford the amount needed to safely reach northern Gaza or relieve themselves from the financial burdens weighing them down.
This is not just about numbers; it is about human lives that urgently need our support. Therefore, I urge everyone reading this message to share this story everywhere and donate whatever they can to save this family and restore hope to their lives.
Donations are urgently needed, and every minute counts. Please help Mohamed Za’tar’s family now and be part of saving their lives and rebuilding their future.

I can't lie, I find it very odd that posts cautioning people against donating to individual* campaigns and promoting the idea of supporting mutual aid efforts and community kitchens in Gaza can rack up 10k+ notes--while a post promoting a community kitchen (that I can personally vouch for) struggles to get 1k notes, and has barely pulled in a couple hundred dollars over the past week.
I actively try to avoid using guilting tactics in fundraising, but this is weird to me. It's like people are using these posts as an excuse not to do things they already didn't want to do anyway, rather than actually taking their recommendations on board...
*In my experience, these campaigns often support large extended families + their neighbours
This campaign is a mutual aid initiative involving myself, my friends Mohammad Abu-Alwan and his two brothers in Palestine, and Shakhya Scri
MAQMAP is a community kitchen aiming to support families in the Mawasi Al-Qarara area.
Mohammed is planning to distribute food parcels, each containing one liter of vegetable oil, one kilo of sugar, one kilo of rice, one kilo of lentils, one kilo of pasta, and a can of sauce, to the 70+ families in Mawasi Al-Qarara camp later this week.
Thank you so much for all of your help so far. Any money that you can spare would really help to keep this initiative going in the coming weeks.
The organisers have begun to purchase and hand out food parcels! For the next parcels, they plan to supplement the flour and other essentials with fruits and vegetables. Not only starvation but also malnourishment are killing people in Gaza.
With your help, MAQMAP has made more than 70 packages of the most essential food items to deliver to families in the camp, as well as delivering cash assistance to orphaned children. The next set of packages will go out tomorrow, inshallah.
The organisers of MAQMAP also want to raise money to repair the most badly damaged tents in the area. News of a ceasefire does not mean that this situation has changed: people still can't live in the freezing cold, in tents that are so damaged they let in water.
