It’s here! Austin is playing the first (hopefully annual) Port City Anti Fest. A lot of people have put tireless effort into this, so we’d love to see it be a raging success. The art war has begun.

Austin on his first musical love, the piano. This one in particular was a rare beauty. Purchased by Eric Perreault and Austin Glover from the UNCG School of Music for $100, moved by hand on rollers for about a mile to their residence in Greensboro. You can’t tell very well in the photo, but the piano was painted by some previous owner entirely with a field of red poppies and a blue sky. Though a few keys were a little flat, it was truly a thing of beauty. This is the namesake of the third track on the Glover/Perreault album Freight 1110 Through Greensboro, “The Living Flower.” Photo credit to Travis Railsback
