Sir, if you don't mind us asking, how did you deal with toxic teachers/mentors back when you were still a student, if you had any? We had a French test today, and my teacher was convinced I copied it off the internet, because, and I quote, I "couldn't possibly know certain words or tenses." I offered to write another essay, in front of him this time, so there was no way for me to copy anything off anyone. Then I read it out to him. He didn't look at all happy. I'm wondering if he's going to pose a problem for me later. Do you have any words of advice on ways to handle this or other situations like this?

This reminds me of the recently mentioned (on my Tumblr) time when I used my own artistic expression via sentence fragments in a paper about Radio Raheem from Do The Right Thing. I got points taken off for sentence fragments.
