..But I'm curious why you can yourself a lesian/lesboy? (since lesbianism is fairly related to femininity in my head, and you don't seem to be comfortable with fem terms?) I'm mainly wondering if it's just a "label that just fits right" situation or if there's something deeper

HIHI!! This is a wonderful ask anon!!, and I don’t mind answering at all!! So basically, I have identified as a lesbian since I was around 8 years old, and I’ve been attracted to women since before that.(obviously)

I have always been a lesbian and to me my gender will never change that because whether I’m a man, woman, or anything in between my love for women (and non men) is still sapphic!! Also lesbian has always included trans masculine (and masculine people in general) lesbianism was build and held up by mainly butch lesbians and trans lesbians!!, they (among fems) were the main group fighting for our rights and still do to this day. Lesbianism is not inherently a feminine sexuality and has all different sorts of gendered human beings in it!! While yes, it does include femininity and is for unique relationships to womanhood a lot of lesbians aren’t feminine at all!!

I am a firm believer in if the boot fits wear it for labels, even if it’s contradictory because at the end of the day it doesn’t hurt anyone. I also believe that labels can have any description you want as long as you’re still believing other people’s definitions are also valid!! For me personally lesbian has always just been, well, me! My definition for lesbian is “I will date anyone who isn’t a cis man as long as they’re also lesbian and trans” and that’s what lesbian means to me!, some lesbians are just “women loving women” or even “non men loving non men” and their definition is also valid to me!!

TDLR; I have always felt sapphic love towards people and my gender doesn’t change that!!, lesbianism isn’t inherently a feminine label, every definition of a sexuality is okay and valid, be who you are for your pride.

Gender and sexuality is weird. Telling ftm lesbians to "identify as nonbinary" is weird. Some people just aren't nonbinary, they're ftm and lesbians. Who are you to tell someone how they experience their gender and sexuality?

If i call myself a non-binary lesbian i have my manhood entirely erased, i have lesbians who are not attracted to men hit on me and then accuse me of lying to them for not admitting im a man.

If i call myself a lesboy/ftm lesbian/boy butch i get accused of invading womens spaces, of harassing gay women, of being a straight man.

I cannot water down my identity as a lesbian without being harassed so i just use it all collectively. The right people accept me and the wrong people stay very far away, just the way i like it.
