losing it over a specific kind of wedding dress embellishment that was semi popular from ~1985-1989: this sort of ridiculously large lace/embroidery overlay.
i hated it at first: an actual, undeniable example of 80s bridal fashion being just too much in some regards.
but the more i look at it, iβm charmed by the cut-and-paste, tar-and-feather quality.
some examples are more well executed than others. i enjoy the use of a shiny fabric to mix up textures.
a much sublter example of that can be seen on jane seymour at the golden globes in 1988.
