If you really know me and my photography you would know by now that when I shoot film, it's usually for intimate moments captured in my own sense of fragmented time. This shoot was no different. Well maybe a little different... This is the first shoot where my past partner is my model.  When he would fall asleep, I would turn over to look at him. I would imagine him in a field with the sun's golden rays shinning through his curls. It was kind of a photographic and personal dream come true for me to actually photograph and witness this in real life. I wanted these photos to not only show the ways I romanticized him, but also show the intimate, beautiful, and casual parts of him that I always admired. There’s a part of me that hurts when I look at these photos knowing that we are no longer partners anymore, but over all I’m filled with joy. Because, I can remember that I got to love someone as beautiful (inside and out) as him.
