On some days you will feel as if you are not moving forward, no matter how hard you try. On some days you will feel as if nothing has changed, no matter how much you have worked towards healing yourself. On some days you will feel like you have made no progress at all and that you are still the same as you were before - broken, depressed, lost and lonely. On some days you will simply feel like you have failed in recovery. But you have not failed at all, my love. You have come so far and you have grown so much. On some days it may be harder to see it but that does not mean that you have not made any progress. Because every day that you survive is progress, is a step forward, is a proof of recovery. Do not be too hard on yourself, for you are trying your hardest and that is enough. Whenever you feel as if you are not getting better, take a look back and think about how much you have changed since last year. You are always moving forward, even if it feels like taking a step back. I am so sproud of you.
