A2B - Western U.S. Region - Keola Munos

November travels have taken me through the warmer states in my region. I did have plans to travel north to Oregon and Washington, but weather conditions were not permitting me to head that way. So I headed toward the sun. In the beginning of the month I headed down to Southern California to prospect bike shops, get the Ferber reviewed by So. Cal. E- bike blogger “Turbo Bob” and do a holiday demo event at Hollywood Electrics. In the mid weeks, I traveled to the hot and sunny state of Arizona to prospect new dealers and review the demographics of Arizona cities Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson. I ended this trip with a quick pass through Newport Beach and Los Angeles California to visit prime prospects Newport Cruisers and Road Bike City. This past weekend, I linked up with our Bay Area dealer Motostrano and displayed the full A2B line and hosted test rides at the San Francisco Bike Expo. Even though the rain is here, the western region is still fully active and riding weather is ideal in southern territories.

Southern California is always a sun filled place to enjoy bike riding. An early morning ride on the zap from Santa Monica to Venice beach along the beach side bike path was assurance that So Cal was still enjoying

their cycling. After prospecting the Santa Monica area, I headed down to San Diego t drop off a Ferber with Turbo Bob so he could give it one of his humble and informative E - Bike reviews. You can view these reviews at Turbo Bob’s Bicycle Blog on Facebook and Wordpress.

Hollywood Electrics -

Holiday Demo Day event at Hollywood Electrics. Cool sunshine day in Hollywood California at this popular Zero Motorcycle dealer. They are more of an electric motorcycle shop, but they do get a good amount of E-Bike business. Turbo Bob once again a big advocate in the E-Bike industry was one the first to attend with his wife Barbara and his brother in law. We captured the attention of many walkers through this hip Fairfax community. With Hollywood as your E-Bike test track, it wasn’t hard getting test riders to ride multiple if not all of the models. Working with Harlan and Tom to set up the event was inspiring. Harlan is the owner operator of the shop and Tom is the marketing mastermind. These guys know how to work the social media and throw a good event. Many thanks to the sales team Carl and Joel who were running the shop and helping me out at the tent.

Arizona -

Arizona is always known for it’s deserts and extreme heat, but if you travel there in November, you can enjoy the beauty and awesome weather of the Southwest. Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa and Tucson were the prospected areas of his this trip. All of these cities have great riding conditions and extensive bike paths, but the E-Bike industry is definitely in its infant stage. Most shops visited were still trying out the e- industry, but there were a few that were fully invested. Ajo Bikes in Tucson is one of those shops. They have been a dealer of A2B a few years now and were impressed in the changes made to the Octave (Metro). I offered to come to Tucson and show them the new Ferber, Galvani and Kuo+, and they took full advantage. They had every employee come out and ride every bike. They love the new bikes and can’t wait to get them in stock. Thanks Ajo Bikes for your enthusiasm and excited review of the A2B line. Another shop that showed the same response and I hope to make a dealer soon was Adventure Bicycle Co. in Mesa. Zach and the crew of this core mtb, bmx and road bike shop, were very impressed with the designs and performance of A2B bikes. Thanks Adventure Bicycle Company!

SF Bike Expo -

San Francisco Bike Expo is an annual event, which brings bike shops, manufactures and cyclist all to the same market place. “The biggest bike shop in the world”. It was held last Saturday November 22nd at the Cow Palace. The whole event is put on by San Francisco bike shop “Ride SFO”. A2B partnered up with Bay Area bike shop Motostrano to host a showroom display booth offering test ride of the whole A2B line and show special deals on A2B bikes through Motostrano. Due to a heavy downfall of rain, the test ride were minimal, but the attendance was remarkably good. The packed event hall was a great place to educate and inform cyclist of all types on E- Bike transportation and the A2B product. We also took this opportunity to promote the Demo Day event at Motostrano this Saturday November 30th at the Redwood city location. Thanks to Phil at Ride SFO for putting on the event and also to Joe at Motostrano for hosting the A2B booth with me.

December brings colder weather with a holiday cheer. Oregon and Washington are at the top my list for travels and I’m hoping to get this trip accomplished this time. Bend Electric and Electric Bikes Northwest are eager to test the new bikes and host demo events at their shops. I know Mad boy Electrics is also waiting to get their hands on the new models as well as Cynergy Ebikes.
