Overall I’m mostly indifferent about the new Harry Potter. I think it’s just a cash grab for JK bitchface. Like overall there was no need for it, but I understand its purpose yk.

However! I do low-key fear how the Fanfics are gonna change cuz of this. Because with a new reboot there will be new fans, and I’m not gonna lie while the hp fandom isn’t perfect, in my part of the space it’s pretty chill. But the one thing we’ve seen with new fandoms/newer people coming into the fandom, is that they are very loud, and very opinionated about how fandoms should operate. It’s already hard for people in the space to understand headcanon, and I would say there’s a bit of hate towards certain lgbt ships. So I honestly I’m not excited for a new wave of people to come in, “book accurate” and shit, yk???

Shane and Ilya pretending to be rivals to avoid the immense homophobia of hockey. dancing around each other in public, at the same hotel per usual for a game, and then running into Andriel who are also at the same hotel for an Exy game. Andriel who are also notorious Rivals, but only because the media couldn't care less to read between the lines. Revelations are made, Andriel is iconic, Hollanov are in love. (or imagine the two doing an interview together as two of the biggest sport rivalries and it just being so obvious both are in love.)
