Modern Corporate Logos Unified With Classical Art Paintings by Eisen Bernard
Filipino graphic designer Eisen Bernardo presents a 15 piece art series that integrates corporate logos with classical art. This creative endeavour taken by the artist explores consumerism through the eyes of art. He exhibits how expression adjusts with function, giving corporate design deeper artistic meaning through the portrayal of fine art in a modern frame.
Pieces from Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”, “Three Sunflowers” have been merged with NASA and British Petroleum logos respectively, taking elements from those personal paintings and giving them a fresh industrial perspective. The artist has intuitively identified that cut-outs of these classical masterpieces fit perfectly inside the corporate emblem, and its theme also matches the symbol and brand identity closely. For example, Henri Rousseau’s “Scout Attacked By A Tiger” is masked under Puma’s logo, as with Sandro Boticelli’s “Birth of Venus” with Shell’s iconic symbol.
Bernardo’s creative blend of classic with corporate logos reveals the potential of maintaining both contemporary design and classic art relevant.
