I find Rossi's character so interesting sometimes. Twice (in the seasons he appeared up to season 4) he has injected himself into a victim / victim's family's life. The case where the three kids watched their parents die, and the criminology student that was killed after investigating crimes that had no link together even though she believed it was a serial killer.

He's just interesting because, once he takes it personally, it's personal.

He might not seem like it, but he is honestly a very thoughtful person, and when something gets in his head, he decides to run with it. He feels guilty for something? He's out there trying to right that wrong (even if the victim / their family really don't want to see him again).

Something about how on the episode Derek when he's hallucinating the BAU and Savannah being mad at him Spencer and Penelope are the only ones who aren't in the mad at derek torture hallucination because even though they're all his family Pen and Spence are the only people in the world who Morgan doesn't think are going to hate and hurt him.
