Destiny awaits, but first potato chips

Like, in the comics, Dick has the best record against Slade out of the entire Batfamily - do you really think DEATHSTROKE is the kind of person to respect someone for their morals? Hell No, Slade thinks Dick’s morals are dumb, but respects Dick for being able to BACK THEM UP. Dick’s fought Slade to a standstill twice (Slade attacked bystanders to escape) and lost massively once  before managing to escape (this was back when Slade was waay out of any human’s league - he massively outmatched Batman as well and only left him alive for the heck of it).

In canon, Renegade was an arc where Dick when undercover as a bad guy to get Slade to mark Bludhaven as off-limits to metas and other ‘big bads’ like scarecrow or the joker or whatnot. Slade (obviously) didn’t believe Dick had switched sides and so told him to train his daughter (’cause he respected Dick’s skills!). The arc ended with Slade agreeing to keep other villains from Bludhaven in return for Dick not convincing his daughter to become a hero - and then breaking that promise to nuke Bludhaven in the next book, ‘cause screw continuity or consistent characterisation. 

In short, DICK WAS NOT SLADE’S APPRENTICE! Sure, Slade had him steal stuff for him, but as an operative - there was no training or micro-managing involved. 

Slade wasn’t even around when Dick was Robin in the comic verse continuity, having first shown up as a Teen Titans villain in the same arc that Dick became Nightwing. Slade and Dick are, and have always been, EQUALS! Their relationship has never been about Slade getting Dick to come over to the dark side - he knows it wouldn’t happen and he’d probably lose a lot of respect for Dick if it did. 

Would be cool to see stories based on THIS Renegade!

Did You Know: There are usually four different spouse reactions types to houses you can live in; Arrogant, Neutral, Nord, or Orc? The reactions for a player-built house, for example:

Arrogant: “Fine, when we’re not fending off attacks by wolves. Or bears. Or giant spiders. Honestly, what were you thinking, sending us out here?”

Neutral: “Fine, love. I think the fresh air does wonders for all of us, and this house… it’s just perfect.”

Nord: “Fine, fine. Living out here on our own will take some getting used to, but I think it’ll be good for us.”

Furthermore, sometimes nice looking clothes are very cheap/fast fashion and are just well taken care of by the clothing owner. I have multiple pieces that are several years old and cost me less money than a burger.

Not only this, but people give clothes away all the time. I literally get given a bag of clothes once or twice a year from friends and whatnot.

Having nice clothes doesn’t mean you spent your last hundred dollars on clothes rather than food, it just means that nice clothes are currently in your possession.

you were young so when you said you weren't eating anymore and all your love was seeping through the floor and the ash of your happiness was settling around you they said well you're young we all get sad sometimes and because you were young they considered the matter settled and would get angry if you brought it up again and would tell you that your attitude was actually the problem and would say - oh come on not this again - which meant that because you were young your words were all weightless and untethered

because you were young you would have nowhere else to go towards except the bright light of your own horrible exposure all knives and wasteland until the brimstone of your selfdirected rage caught everything on fire and you were young so they looked at the mess of your falling star and said you were acting like a monster and chided you for all your faults and begged you to please take more responsibility for how badly you were hurting because you were young so you had to have done this to yourself how else would it have happened how could someone who is young ever be hurt in a real way how could someone who has a roof over their head and food in their bodies ever feel gutted like a fish
