I'm ngl I think campaign 2 greatly benefitted from pcs having no connection whatsoever to vox machina and I think campaign 3 would've been better if it also had pcs entirely unrelated to previous ones because they'd have been more tied to marquet instead of none of them having any significant ties to the continent that remained very shallowly explored

#except braius because he was a second character and his connection is simply funny-#but genuinely he got in later in the story so it wouldn't matter as much #or they should be tied to the ruidus plot more #some of them are theoretically you could argue but eh #anyways I'm just thinking about how campaign 2 is really good-#out of character { 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐘𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐑. }

frumpkin the bestest boy who is always looking after caleb and will happily keep him company when his head is too loud and he turns into a cat to catch a break. I just think frumpkin is always taking care of him though. that's his human. sometimes taking care of him will be sitting on his lap and not letting him get up because he needs to chill and rest for a bit. sometimes it'll be just being extra affectionate or keeping him company. sometimes it's getting essek's attention so he can help better than frumpkin can. but he's always looking after him

sometimes essek will get home and there'll simply be four cats instead of three. cat caleb will simply be curled up with frumpkin he'll be back in an hour

also hope mentioned this earlier and truly blumendrei just experimented without knowing what they were doing and had no safety practices for sex and would never have established proper boundaries and would've done bdsm without even really talking about anything. safe word? they don't know what that is

caleb never sleeps as well alone as he does with someone close. yes it for sure started with huddling for warmth with astrid and wulf and how that evolved into taking comfort in the closeness of the only two people in the world who understood him. it made a world of difference to have nott curled up close to him when they started traveling together. he takes more comfort than he ever says in the nein all sleeping in a pile within the dome. he's never as comfortable and at peace as when he's sleeping cuddling with essek. and even when there isn't another person he needs the cats with him whether it's hugging them or burying his face on them or having them sleep on top of him. very fond of snuggling the cats and essek all at once too. but out of all of those he truly never feels as safe and comfortable as he does sleeping in essek's arms.

unfortunately i still don't care much for kingsley but i DO think there's a lot of potential to be explored in how the nein deal with having someone around who is not their friend and the mollymauk of it all so i wish we got more of that

insane that kingsley's view of the nein is mom (jester) dad (fjord) aunties (beau and yasha) and. the rest of them ig (caleb and veth). we don't know about cad. or essek.

it's good enrichment for The Character(s) when one of their friends gets possessed and they have to find some way to bring them back. great friendgroup bonding activity. especially if they have to do some exorcism bullshit and it's traumatizing for everyone involved and there's collapsing and sobbing afterward. great thing for The Character(s) to do. highly recommend.
