This first essay will help me at the end of the semester because I now know the background, history, etc. of my topic. It will make it easier to do my research as well as choose the correct information to put into my final essay. So far, I have learned about the beginnings of architecture, where modern styles came from, and how styles have been developed throughout centuries. I have also learned the impotence and meanings of some architectural styles. I have learned that writing is a long process and that its okay to have some bad drafts, they just help you write a better, polished final form. I have also learned that taking time to brainstorm and write an outline makes It a lot easier to write an essay. Advice I would give to other readers/students would be to take your time when formulating or brainstorming an essay. Take notes on your topic and create an outline or flow chart to make writing the essay a little easier. Also, do some freewriting on the topic before you start your essay to get all of your ideas out on paper, then brainstorm and start putting things into the order you want.
