- a solution which the replies point out stopped working two years ago

- a download that has an 80% chance of delivering malware

- learn github and there’s still only a 50/50 chance it’ll work

I miss the days it was easy to pirate stuff 😆

Honestly, the reason I don't like the term "cis woman" isn't because I think it's a slur, it's because I find it ridiculously redundant. It's like saying "female woman", all woman are female so specifying it is completely useless

This, and it boxes women into the concept of “feeling like a woman”, or “being born in the right body”, or even enjoying misogynistic expectations of women that trans identified men consider to be womanhood, and trans identified women feel they’ve identified out of.

No, I don’t feel like a woman. I was just born female, which makes me a woman. There’s no “me” outside of my body, so I wasn’t born into the “right body”. I do not enjoy misogyny. I do not enjoy performing femininity.

Calling women “cis” is forcing us into their framework, where everyone has a gender identity and everyone has some sort of relationship with that gender identity and these gender identities are based off of sexist stereotypes. That is a framework I do not relate do, do not identify with, and have no interest being boxed into.

The older I get, the bigger my disdain for religion grows.

I just don’t understand how generally intelligent and good people believe in those ideas. I mean yes it’s good to promote loving one another and sharing community, but then your religious texts have multiple examples of your god murdering, destroying and preaching hate to women, non-virgins, homosexuals, non-believers etc etc. Especially Abrahamic religions which are very clear on their views on women: How can you think for even a second that an ideology which oppresses and undermines half of the global population could be compatible with society?

The more you look into it you can’t help but see it for the burden on society it truly is and how much it is holding us back from real progression and modernity.

Gotta say it's double extra creepy as hell lately sharing a material reality w/ people who just fucking reject straightforward factual information they dislike for whatever reason or can't integrate w/o tripping over their emotions. I mean, it's never not creepy as hell, though it's getting creepier-as-heller as I'm more and more exposed to someone dying from dementia against their will, desperate to hold onto reality, intellectual difficulty and emotional discomfort be damned. Why live like you've got a neurodegenerative disorder when you don't? Why not use your mind while you can? Be uncomfortable, be upset for a moment or two. But be real.

Dale Spender explains this as follows: “The talkativeness of women has been gauged in comparison not with men but with silence. Women have not been judged on the grounds of whether they talk more than men, but of whether they talk more than silent women.” In other words, if women talk at all, this may be perceived as ‘too much’ by men who expect them to provide a silent, decorative background in many social contexts.”

The switch from the Paris Hilton era of beauty standards to the kardashian era of beauty standards gave me whiplash. It’s so fucked up that the expectations for women’s bodies change like clothing trends, but men have literally always had the same beauty standards basically. When I was 13, women were supposed to be stick thin and have no hips, and two years later we were supposed to be “slim thick” and it literally changes like every ten years. It’s an impossible game - if you were super hot in 2006, then it was physiologically impossibly for you to be super hot in 2016 because it required different fucking bone structure. All men are ever required to do to meet current beauty standards is be kinda tall (but wasn’t Tom cruise the “sexiest man alive” at one point?) and be in shape. Always. That’s it. A man who was considered hot a thousand years ago would still be hot! But women are supposed to radically change ourselves every decade, if we want to be beautiful. Fuck that.

Flat ass jokes always baffle me. Like...having a big ass/wide hips was seen as SO unattractive when I was growing up. And now those same women who were hailed as the standard of beauty are mocked for the features that they were praised for just 10 years ago. I HATE IT

Women aren’t expected to change body types to conform to the new ideal, they’re supposed to disappear entirely and be replaced by younger women who do. Wouldn’t want girls to get the idea that life goes on after age 25.
