Y'all seem to forget this was a season of Taylor taking control of her own life for the first time and doing whatever the hell she wanted until it all went to shit after kissgate. It was a very clear glass closet that was working perfectly until too many drinks in one's system shattered it and she had to go back to the closet—and jump back in to her original story of bearding.
They were mutually helping each other of course, but this also allowed them a certain freedom to where there wouldn't have to be so obviously sneaky and secretive—which is the phase we have been in for the last 7 years. If they were "just friends" like her other friends are, why the hell did they have to get so fucking weird? Why did Kaylor go ghost so fast? Why did Karlie all of sudden realize she had a boyfriend after Taylor got involved? And why after preaching and shoving down our throats that you are happy, free, single, and loving being by yourself, and LIVING ALONE in a new city—you fall for the MOST abysmal cis misogynistic white man–who before you started dating said you were "not his type," but since he is also EXTREAMELY TALL, he was the perfect one to snatch up as a cover for the actual EXTREMELY TALL girl you fell hard for and was kissing her in the dark a few months before you bring his ass into the picture around the anniversary of BIG SUR (March is when they were first seen). She thought she was ahead of the curve with this strategy—but she was just a mirrorball and it turned into a huge mess that ended with her in a million pieces because he ruin what you thought would work. 2015 was supposed to be wonderful for her, but it turned into pure hell for her personally. Which makes me so sad, because for the fandom it was her top-tier era, but she was in pain.
I'm sure Kaylor had many arguments about all of this too, but no way you fo through all that, just for PR to the point that like Pro said, incorporate everything about that person in your music every album after you met that person. That would be 4 whole albums!
Make it make sense for me, please. Toe is irrelevant. He's good for her because he's a good, quiet, and private business partner. He can live his life–and she can live hers. Unlike her past beard relationships, they were too well known to seal a cover.
I don't know the status of Kaylor, but I sure as hell don't buy Toe or Jerklie. Zero chemistry.
