This most recent rumored date is getting close. The last one came and went. Will this one come and go? Then there’s another one? Then there’s a question of what’s going on why aren’t they getting married Or will there be some other twist in the narrative?

Regardless of the story they are concocting, I am still confident we will not see Taylor enter a lavender marriage. If we were, there would be no point to the parade they’ve been putting on this whole relationship. We know she can pull off a privacy narrative. She’s choosing not to with this beard. Whether that be her own volition or an unfortunate means to an end, I don’t know.

But at some point there was an intentional choice to showgirl the shit out of this relationship to the point where yesterday I just saw a video of her flying an airplane fork of food into his mouth. I had to touch grass after that to make sure I hadn’t entered some infantilized tradwife twilight zone. Because this is not the Taylor we love and respect. None of us would be here if that was truly her. But I’m still here after 7 years (!) because I still believe Taylor’s got her combat boots on even if we can’t see them and the road is long.

Anyway, it boils down to this for me.

It does not make sense to push a beard this hard, even burning down your own image, just to sell the closet. That goal doesn’t require this much work. We know everybody eats up the privacy narrative.
