the aforementioned brainworms are specifically about harry osborn (specifically, raimi movies, as thats the one im most familiar with) and michael afton (MOVIE michael. movie lore ≠ game lore to me).

so something that popped into my head is how in the movie michael seems like.. desperate to continue his fathers legacy and uphold what he stood for in a way. he wants to embody what his father embodied, despite him being dead. michael somewhat looks up to his father (somewhat being pretty loose, its likely it could've been more) and wants to follow his path and 'make him proud' in a way.

so, michael goes against family while trying to follow in his father's footsteps. he actively tries to put vanessa (his SISTER) into harms way. its an attempt to do what he believes his father would've wanted.

and now the more nonsensical comparison comes in. harry also wanted to make his father proud, to an unhealthy degree. he too turned on the people he was close with in an attempt to accomplish what he believed his father wanted him to do. he puts his closest friend (peter) in harms way because he believes that peter caused his fathers death. and because of that, harry attempts to do what he BELIEVES is what would make his father proud (revenge), despite his father being dead and him only seeing him in mirror hallucinations.

TELL ME WHY. I LOOK AT THE STUFF NETFLIX HAS POSTED. TELL ME WHY I SEE THAT (from my knowledge of the different forms of kanji for the name sachiko) THERE IS APPARENTLY SOMEONE WHO COULD HAVE THAT NAME. and im not sure if its my eyesight or if im reading the kanji wrong but i swear down every single translation has it as sachiko.
