Hello there! After some careful consideration and input, we’ll be hosting The Arcana Secret Santa 2018!
If you are unfamiliar with how Secret Santa works, the basic premise is that every participant will be randomly assigned another participant to create a work for—secretly, that is! This blog will then reblog all entries on Christmas Day, the 25th of December.
Only join if you’re fairly certain you’ll have the time! This is very important, as if several people drop out, that also means several other people will suddenly be without a gift, which then means other artists will have to pick up last-minute to create another work.
It’s a Secret Santa, so keep who you got a secret!
Please tag your work with #TAGSS2018 so we can reblog it on December 25th!
As this is meant to be a more PG-13 sort of event, please don’t ask for anything that’s considered too explicit/dark, you never know in whose hands your prompts may end up. Since this is an Arcana Secret Santa, please try to keep most of your wishes centered around the Arcana or your OCs for The Arcana!
The list of participants will be randomised, so please understand that you might end up with ships or characters you don’t feel strongly towards.
Similarly, to keep things fair and to ensure that neither mods ( @hachidori-e and @sherbetbats ) have a hand in picking who gets assigned who, the final list of participants will be randomised, split in half, and then each half will be randomly asigned and maintained by one of us, ensuring the other mod isn’t able to spoil their own surprise either.
Only artworks and fanfics are accepted.
The minimum requirement for art is a finished piece. Although this is a bit vague, we trust you to know what is ‘finished’ for your own standards. Traditional works are perfectly fine as well. We implore you to put a lot of heart and soul into your piece.
The minimum requirement for fics are a 1000 word limit. Again, please put a lot of heart and soul into your piece.
Please try to stick to your recipient’s wishes as much as possible.
If, for whatever reason, you really can’t make the deadline, please inform us as soon as possible so we can find a replacement in a timely fashion.
Applications close November 25th.
You will receive your giftee’s url and request(s) by November 30th.
You are responsible for submitting/queueing your work on your blog on December 25th. Please refrain from submitting earlier so you don’t spoil the fun.
