A change of plans
I have been doing exclusively gym workouts since April of this year. I am lifting heavier, I love my routine, and I just feel so good starting my day off like this. Well, as plans then to do, mine for the next two weeks are changing. We found out today that my daughter (2) has covid, therefore, we will be quarantining with her for at least the next week, but probably two to be safe.Β
My program I have been following has an at home equivalent, so we are going to give that a try for now! We just spent (too much) money on adjustable dumbbells and are bands to be able to complete these at home. Luckily itβs a good investment with my husband not having much time to get to the gym anyways and the cold winter mornings that will be here soon.Β
The biggest challenge I anticipate these next two weeks is getting myself to do the workouts, honestly. When I drive to the gym I pretty much have no choices other than do it or go home, and I have only chosen the go home route once. But, at home, I have to choose to workout over sleep or homework or cleaning or playing with my kids or just relaxing in general. This is going to be the biggest test for me and I am optimistic that I can handle it! Realistically, I could just schedule it in like I do for the gym routine, but part of me also wants to take this opportunity to change up my schedule for a bit just to get more sleep in at night. Hopefully I have nothing but good things to report from my ventures at home, but I guess only time will tell.Β
