Olivia's Team! (Funger x pokemon AU)
Her parents were very religious, and she was compared to her twin a lot. You CANNOT tell me her parents wouldn't do that weird thing of getting identical things for their twin children or getting them matching sets of things.
She was given a minun at a young age and Reila was given a plusle as HER starter.
Even before the strokes that made her need a wheelchair she's described as having been more introverted than Reila, and in some pokedex entries, Minun is also described as being more introverted than plusle, but they're usually in pairs.
Plusle and Minun get a big special attack boost if they enter a battle together, kind of like how if you take the two necklace halves that belonged to Olivia and Reila and make the 'blue noctuid necklace' item it gives a HUGE boost to defense. not exact match but similar-ish premise?
Caught before the incident when it was a bellsprout. The only pokemon that she caught herself.
At first, it was because it's a grass type pokemon and she was into botany, but eventually that helped speed up the already developing interest in poisons.
as a kid, her parents tried to get rid of it because it accidentally poisoned her a couple times. she was frail as a child so it probably COULD have ended badly, but in the end, things were fine and nothing came of it.
It evolved around the same time that she lost the ability to walk. Although it's a pokemon that just loses it's lets naturally when it evolves, it was still comforting to have because it could still get around despite a lack of legs and it was encouraging for her.
Hatched from an egg that came from Reila's Bellossom. It was a gift she got from her on the last day they ever saw each other. One of the major signs something was up after not having any contact with Reila for a while was the fact her Bellossom was in the box/PC and not with her.
Similarly to Weepinbell, is very useful in the study of plants, grass types, and poison/poison types.
in this objectively grim set of circumstances, is very cheerful and reassuring. It hatched less than a year ago- it hasn't exactly been around long so it's pretty oblivious to most things.
It won't evolve during the course of the game like i decided that Tanaka's team would, HOWEVER, once it does evolve instead of a Bellossum it'll evolve into a Vileplume :)
