Weird thing to post but if you knew how bad a gardener I am this is all kind of miraculous 😬 now to make this into dinner as I absolutely have to eat this freshly harvested veg the same day. Day 30 - items 336-367 #minsgame This is a stash from the linen closet. I have loved this game, it has changed my perspective so much. Seeing it all there captured in piles makes me rethink every purchase I now make. Helping the environment and my bank account. Getting rid of the excess isn't all fun work, yeah it's fun putting it in piles and boxes but actually taking it to charities, re homing etc takes effort and time. I want to spend as little time on this in the future. I will keep on the minimalist path for now, it definitely works for me. Day 29, items 307-335 #minsgame ok so there's a lot more than 29 items but I was on a roll! So many random things like tiny first aid kid, free cds you get given that came with the news paper back when people bought the paper. Some books, old tickets from Italy (going again soon so can stash up on new ones 😝) it would take too long to explain all the rest but so happy to be rid of it all. I didn't do this in 30 days as got too busy some days and wanted to take my time choosing what went, but it doesn't matter so long as you stick with it. Give it a go, I promise you'll love it

Day 28. Items 279-306! A mish mash of stuff today. Some of Jax's little Bub things going 😔but luckily kids aren't that sentimental and seem to be happy to cull....so long as there is minecraft, you tube, a BMW and a skateboard a 12 yr old boy is very happy. Honestly Jax asks for nothing. This process has changed his life too in a really positive way. @jax.petty_ you'll probably live out of a suitcase in a cave when you grow up 😝I will visit often!

Day 26 items 225-251....- few days late but have been too busy this week with only a few days to go it's no problem I have plenty I know needs to go. Freezer contents- age unknown. I followed the whole freeze EVERYTHING waste nothing. I tried,I really did. I spent hours pre cooking, prepping, all to be put in my freezer ready to use at a moments notice and hardly ever use the stuff. Just more annoying clutter. Solution - buy less and use what's in your fridge. After trying the freezer full idea nah....for me #minimalism just works 😊. Also another Swiss Army knife going, how we ended up with so many I have no idea. Day 25, items 200-224. More kitchen culling. Opening your kitchen cupboards and not having things fall out is so nice. Some cups going today that aren't my cup of tea 🙄and 3 cork screws, I have never needed to open that many bottles of wine simultaneously, and now screw caps are the norm I am sure I will manage with one for my old wine stash. I realised the craziness of keeping crap we don't need whilst spending time cleaning an 'eat' sign I don't want to keep, definitely better ways to spend my time...like posting on Insta 😏yes I see the irony. Day 23, items 155-177 Some more books going today, photos that need to go to someone else, an old laptop charger, random bits and pieces that really have no name and a few pens/pencils. Day 21 items 210-231 More books...it is a little sad when your kid grows out of his kid books. You remember all the nights you read to him and realise that you'll never get that back. But no point feeling sad, time to look forward to new experiences and be grateful you have an awesome kid who actually wants to be around you still. 12 is a great age and having deep meaningful conversations trumps reading a story book...I guess 😊 ok waffling on...so most of these books have a new home where they can be enjoyed for a few years yet. I am thankful for these books but now time to let go

Day 19 items 171-189 Books, books and more books. I like keeping books they look nice on my shelves. But if I am not going to read them it makes sense to pass them on to someone that will #recyclebooks #minimalistgame #culling #tidying #giveawaydontthrowaway #declutter

Day 17 items 154-170 #minsgame Got stuck into my clothes again. Today some clothes I don't wear because I just don't feel right in them. Some things just remind me of another life I don't want to think about 👍as for my super cosy dressing down have decided to give that away for a few reasons, dressing gowns on adults always look grotty to me even is new and freshly washed. Also I work from home so if I start wearing it there's a good chance I will stay in it. I have visions of myself grunting and wild haired and it's just all down hill from there. I need to make an effort every day to get up get dressed and look presentable.... we've all seen the memes for what happens to people who work from home....the danger is real!
