I did so well today, eating salads for lunch AND dinner. Then I got a serious case of the munchies and ate 2 slices of bruschetta, pomegranate seeds, canned black beans, cool whip, wine, and a slice of my dad's leftover birthday cake within the span of 30 minutes. I definitely have binge-eating tendencies and need to figure out a way to keep them in check, or else all the good work I've done during the day gets washed away at night. Perhaps I need to pick up an evening activity to occupy my time instead of being the world's largest couch potato and eating non-stop. What should it be? (Please don't say exercise!)

Weekly weigh-in this morning yielded no change from last week. However, had to weigh-in again this afternoon for a team weight-loss competition at work and was up 7 pounds!! I like my scale at home better even if it is broken...

That's how many calories I'm allotted through the app I use. I can't recall how they computed that, but supposedly this will result in my losing 0.9 pounds each week. However, it leaves me really hungry! Usually by the time dinner rolls around, I've already consumed near that many calories, so I end up going over. I can earn more calories by exercising, but that's the last thing I want to do when I get home - I just want to eat because I'm so freaking hungry! And then I don't want to work-out after dinner because I'm all weighed down with food. I need to figure out how to force myself to exercise and just block out the time. I'm too lazy to wake up early, so it will have to be after work, but before dinner. This means I should make sure I have some type of afternoon snack to tide me over. Might try that tomorrow.

Down one pound, but partook in some major stress-eating during dinner tonight. We ordered Thai food at work and I was already pretty full halfway through my take-out container, but kept plowing ahead and ate the whole damn thing. I even thought to myself to stop, but didn't. I don't understand how people can leave food on their plate; my OCD tendencies say I must EAT.IT.ALL! Perhaps next time, I will remove half and put it in a tupperware container to prevent myself from total food domination. In the meantime, I'm over my daily caloric limit by about 600 calories...and counting...:(
...and then there are days you need THIS! Oh well, I read it's good to vary your daily caloric intake so your body doesn't think you are starving and conserve fat for energy. No worries there tonight.

Need to stop looking at pictures of food on Pinterest! I want to make everything and now I'm hungry! Wah!

Down another 2 pounds since last week, so 4 pounds so far. Now I really think my scale is broken! Been doing good with my food tracker though - 15 days straight! It's getting more difficult, however, since we're starting to work later nights and ordering dinner to eat in the office. I've been trying to order healthier items, but I would really kill for a slice of pizza right now! I should also start working out at some point so that I can eat more. Maybe next week...
Using my new food scale I purchased off Groupon to help with portion control. In case you’re wondering, the paper towel weighs 0.1 ounces. I want more turkey, damnit!

I wonder how accurate my scale is because it says I'm down 2 pounds from last week. Probably it's just water weight, but I think I've been pretty good this week with my salad jars, so I'll take the 2 pounds and treat myself to a brownie! :)

Pancake or panfake??
I'm extremely skeptical of recipes like this that I find on Pinterest. Pretty sure I'll be getting a banana-flavored omelette instead of the perfectly light and fluffy pancakes in the picture. Also, I'm sure a regular pancake would be less calories than advertised for these. It's supposedly 250 calories for the whole batch, which seems like a lot of pancakes based on the picture, but will probably end up being just one pancake based on the ingredients (1 banana and 2 eggs). HOWEVER, it has positive reader comments, so perhaps I'll try it sometime!
Yummy British-themed dinner with friends to celebrate the return of Downton Abbey, season three! Usually when I eat a meal like this, it's impossible to accurately put it in my food diary, so I end up just guesstimating a lump sum amount of calories. I'm not sure how accurate I'm being, but surely thus cannot be more than 100. Surely.
