Jewelry is always interesting to find reused and recycled, because while certain styles and stones do go in and out of fashion over time, it is easier to use jewelry in a wide range of time periods and not have it look nearly as unauthentic as a piece of clothing might be. A necklace, like the example above, may be just as at home in a film set in the eighteenth century as in a period drama set in the twentieth century.   This pearl choker was worn originally by Charlotte Rampling as Lady Spencer in the 2008 film 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒖𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒔. I'm watching Downton Abbey (2019)

This necklace has had quite the screen life! It was first seen in 1996, worn by Kate Beckinsale as Emma Woodhouse in ITV’s 𝑬𝒎𝒎𝒂.   It later appeared on Julia Roberts as Anna Scott in 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒊𝒍𝒍.   Most recently, it adorned Elizabeth McGovern as Cora Crawley,   Countess of Grantham, in the third season of 𝑫𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒃𝒃𝒆𝒚 in 2012.   It’s been sighted several more times over the years—visit our website to see every sighting!
