Left-Brained Artist

Similar to the object designing assignment in painting, we had to design another environmental object for my storytelling and concept class. I had a lot of fun with this one too!

This was a new, challenging way of painting for me - lots of layering and using the lasso tool to make shadows instead of painting them out

Really loved this assignment. We had to pick an object and use environmental storytelling and shape language to design it 9 different ways

I really wanted to render some things more, but I don't think I'll end up going back to it any time soon. I didn't have enough time when I created it, and I don't have motivation now but I like where it is!

Part 2 of my comics project from last year - my teacher had a playlist and in it was a Melanie Martinez song I really didn't like until I actually actively listened to it

For one of my art classes last year, we had to make a few comics. This was based off one of my cashiering experiences--this guy really seemed like he was going for my gummy worms (he was not)

The goal here was really just practice different sketching styles and seeing what I could emphasize and draw differently.
