run fast, run free, the sky awaits

checked on the rabbits this morning and the nest is totally empty, so probably not a good sign :/ the bedding that was covering it is still mostly intact just slightly moved to the side, and there’s no signs of having been dug up or blood or anything, but the internet is telling me that rabbits won’t relocate their babies so… not sure if there’s any conclusion other than something bad.

i’m still mad at the rabbits but unfortunately when I picked up the baby earlier to put it back in its nest it made a little grunt noise and wiggled its paws very helplessly while in my hand and I have now become deeply invested in its wellbeing.

literally 5 mins after that I hear Kep yipping at something and I have to rescue one of the babies that he’s chased/carried out to the yard. It didn’t seem hurt so I put it back in the nest and covered it back up. I took a pic so I’ll check tomorrow to make sure mom has come back and call a rehabber if not ig. Cool I love not being able to use my yard for a month bc of dumb fucking animals.

kep's favorite hobby is crawling onto your lap so he can breathe really loudly and wetly 1 inch away from your face. it is so so important to him that you let him do this.
