There's a disconnect happening here because the primary function of social media for most casual users is to form a circle of friends around the usual things that friendships are built on: shared interests and lifestyles and ideas of what is important and what is unacceptable. When people are mainly doing leftism on social media, this encourages thinking of leftism as centered around establishing high-minded social clubs.
For anyone who still isn't getting it from someone who helps people IRL: There's a difference between whom you're helping to feed at the mealshare and whom you're choosing to hang out with for fun after the mealshare. You don't have to invite a hungry person with opinions you don't like to play board games with you, but you do have to help keep them from starving if you're serious about leftist organizing.

My question is why the hell do Stephanie, Keith, Kimiko, Richard, and so many others degrade themselves by working on this fucking garbage? They're A-listers in the industry, they're getting regular work from Disney, they're some of the most in-demand stars of today. Why are they wasting their talent on this trainwreck? Whatever they're being paid CANNOT be enough to make up for what an utter failure of storytelling, characterization, and basic good taste Hazshit is. Erika, Amir, and Brandon at least have the excuse of being one-hit wonders with no future career prospects because of their lack of talent and (in the men's case) gross behavior, why are some of the most talented people in the field throwing away their careers by staying with this sinking ship? I know finding work is rough right now, but it can't be THAT rough.

And look, Disney isn't all that much better in terms of quality. Honestly, anything good coming out of them is almost an accident that slipped past executives before they could ruin it.
The story doesn't reflect back on them unlike live action actors. If a live action actor ends up in a huge flop, it can potentially ruin their careers. Their faces are recognized and a lot of directors are insecure over audience retention if they see a face that, the last time they saw that face, they had a really bad experience.
So voice acting for a terrible show is actually far more forgiving reputationally that, depending on what your future plans in the industry are, you can treat it as an easy paycheck.
I mean, have you heard Stephanie Beatriz?
She's not showing up because the show stimulates her. And the best part is that Medrano and Haft are spineless directors who would never tell her to perform differently no matter how terrible a performance she gives. Stephanie knows you don't have a flat and deeper alto modal voice for a character who sings in a sharp soprano.
Go listen to the Encanto soundtrack and then listen to any song she sang for Hazbin Hotel. She did that on purpose. You will never convince me otherwise. For women, sitting in a high head voice is actually less stress on the vocal chords.
Just keep that in mind.
people like these need to spend time on things they love instead of things they claim to hate. its pretty interesting to see how much time they waste on stuff like this when it's pretty easy, especially on tumblr, to block tags and follow blogs that cater to things u wanna see.
Keith David especially has said he likes hazbin and he's having fun. i have to assume the others on the show are having a great time too, considering how much they talk about the fun theyre having in literally every interview.
