After several long months, Bruno is finally finished and joining my miniature family of Madrigals! 

His head is a hasbro Chief Benja with a resculpted nose, and that I have rooted hair to, his body is a mattel BTS doll with the lower arms of a Disney Store Moana. I made all the clothes myself, and did the faceup and here we are.

The box she is standing in so something I worked on last weekend using the packaging @dollsonmain sent me (thanks again). I bought one of the floral storage boxes from Tuesday Morning and made it where it can open and close and actually hold stuff inside. I don't know that I'll ever travel anywhere where I would take it, but it is perfect mobile. 😆 I still need to finish filling all the shelves... I ran out of the right sized dowel that I use for clothing rods though...

Anyways, a close-up and a peep at her shoes. I had an extra pair of these, so I painted them to match her color scheme.

So it’s taken a long time but I am at the point I have dolls of protagonists from my favourite hand drawn animated films wearing outfits I love. Honestly if you asked me this time last year if I would be sewing this much let alone accomplishing half of these I would find it unbelievable. But here they are, and I am incredibly happy how they turned out. While I do enjoy the CGI films I do enjoy them differently to hand drawn animation and I don’t quite feel as compelled to get them all in doll form.

Did some overpainting on Hasbro Sisu. One of the things I like about her human design is her big mouth with her uneven teeth! Both versions of the doll have them molded, but not painted to be emphasized or anything.

A lil rainbow room for your viewing pleasure ~

It all started with the geometric rug - I wanted to play around with overlapping shapes & colour, and once that came to fruition, I decided to make a tiny room scene to match.

This is by far the most colourful mini setup that I have ever made, and while I’m not afraid of colour, I don’t usually throw them altogether like this ^_^’ 

So I am not a big fan of nylon hair and Rapunzel’s long hair kept tangling so I decided to plait it. Big shoutout to @thedollboy for his videos on Rapunzel hair, cuz his staggering trick for making the hair even longer and feathered out helped in making my doll’s hair even longer and the tutorial on braiding her hair helped me immensely.

I finally put together another vinyl thing after months of laziness. This jacket features heart shaped bead tassel sleeves. The Hot Pink is difficult to photograph.
