i think when dean's pissed @ sam or simply wants to wind him up, he takes his time describing episodes of scooby doo to him as though they're potential cases. this has been going on for over a decade and it still gets sam every time. even after their scooby tv experience. in fact dean finds it 10x funnier now bc sam will still get his laptop out and furrow his brow and ask genuine questions all while dean's recounting s2e7 "who's afraid of the big bad werewolf?"
