This is one of the most experimental dresses I've ever made for a doll, and I think I hate it

I'm not even sure it's entirely wearable

I looked up to see if loungefly collectors had cleaning tips for these bags and learned most of them don't know what their talking about and are probably ruining their bags

why are you rubbing it down with baby oil, it's plastic, you don't need to oil it like real leather

why are you using your expensive make up remover wipes on stains, and not the stain wipes that exist for this purpose and are cheaper/more effective

the only good tip I got was I could roll up towels and stuff them in the bag to help reshape it, which I'm doing

and even if oiling pleather was a thing, I'd say a high silicone conditioner, like what I condition doll hair with, would be more effective than baby oil

like that I know works for some plastics. not sure about pleather, but baby oil seems like it would just be greasy...

most baby oil is just mineral oil with some scent tho, added right? so mineral oil on pleather makes sense to me unless they're trying to use it to keep it from separating from the polyester backing? because that is kind of inevitable. granted I also use it on some of my darkest AA vinyl doll heads because they can look really ashy when they dry out.

also even if it doesn't hurt the bag, that seems like it'd make it unpleasant to touch? at the very least I don't like the way baby oil/mineral oil feels :P I can't stand when things feel greasy.

since the power was out all day and I had nothing better to do I've actually already cleaned the bag, I'm just letting it fully dry first

but it was $3 so I'm gonna see if I can clean her up, as aside from the stains, it doesn't have any issues. The zippers are all good, nothing's broken or torn, it's just dirty
