Major Study Evaluation (Mini)
Major Study has most definitely been my favourite and my best work produced to date design wise. My major study concludes one main (larger) project title βThe TrendWhore Seriesβ, which is built up fashion editorial brand containing identity, audience and purpose. TrendWhore so far, consists of one set main magazine issue titled βTrendWhore March 17β that addresses feminism, politics, fashion, health and travel all trend related in there own topic/subject. TrendWhore also consists of a Concept Magazine for hand in, explaining the the identity development, tone, persona and personality and audience. TrendWhore also has a range of look books and social media content, marketing platforms and online presence.
TrendWhore is about redefining the publishing within trend related content and moving forward. My Major study also consists of a range of mini briefs aside from TrendWhore and a built personal identity which includes a creative cv, website, up to date and active social media and job networking.
With my major study i have faced numerous problems / tasks from collaborations, contracts, permissions and so on and so forth and have had to sort out and communicate problems in order to fix them can resume work. With major study i have collaborated with numerous people and have found this the most changeling and yet the most fun part. Time management played a huge part of my overall performance as i felt one minute i had been doing this work for ever and the next i had only days left. With the collaboration purpose being for my personal university work, i was in charge and had to manage things quickly and professionally. One of the biggest tasks i faced with the TrendWhore project was the overall paper work, understanding everything from forms, insurance, locations etc. and keeping onto of that while continuing to plan and art direct. With the mini briefs, i literally done them as mini briefs. I spent around 2/3 days working on them and then concentrated back to the main task in hand. I didnβt actually realise the amount of work for my main project until completing mini breifβs and struggling to find time for them. Some of my mini briefs Im not happy about but some i did really enjoy doing and working on, if i could of just done the one crazy sized project i would of. TrendWhore turned out to be completely different to what it was set out to be compared to the written template. I am over the moon with the results of TrendWhore and more pleased of the responses from all who collaborated and was involved!
