So it's no secret that I love the Apathy episode. I was rewatching it again for kicks, and I noticed something at the end.

Right now Ironwood has a plan to save Atlas by abandoning Mantle and raising Atlas into the sky. We all know that every time James has a plan, it not only fails, but goes to complete shit.

Right now James has completely shut down his emotions, his human half. Right now he's functionally a robot, thinking only in terms of numbers and what he can preserve, not what he's losing in the process, just as Bartleby wasn't thinking about how with the loss of anger and sadness there is also a loss of hope and joy. Both have chosen survival over thriving, and ultimately the "ambitious fellow" Bartleby lost everything he was trying to save, including his own life.

And this all happened.

In Volume 8.

What about Yang's overalls? She'll be in the next stall in the same predicament. Say what you will about Weiss and Ruby fighting in dresses/skirts, but in a forest emergency during a hunt at least they aren't risking having to fight a Grimm with bad timing in their birthday suits.

On one hand yeah, it looks like a livestock barn or car wash and that is kinda fucked up.

On the other hand, it's a single location, probably patrolled by local police, where these women can have safety in numbers and ply their trade in a relatively safe (safer than a random back alley at least) location.
