Kai After Kai

Hello everyone! Thomas here, and today marks 1 YEAR since the release of the first episode of Kingscreek! Incredible to think that we’ve already gone a whole year since you all first met Damien and his world, so as thanks, I figured I’d share some updates on the production of season 2!

Pre Production! Writing is ALMOST done. Writing these episodes has been by far the most time consuming and complicated part of the process, even with James taking on some of the slack and writing their own episodes (which are excellent, if I do say so myself.) Still, we’ve had our detailed outline for the season solidified for months now, and it’s just a matter of finishing up the last few scripts! And it’s not the only thing we’re working on…

Production! We’ve fully entered production, which means recording, editing, and music production has been underway for a while now. Since this season is more complex, with more characters/voice actors and longer scripts, it means production is a little more complicated and time consuming, but it’s absolutely worth it for the season we’re going to bring you!

And of course, release dates. We had no official release date for this season, and that’s for good reason. Since James and I are both working our own jobs and have other responsibilities, we unfortunately can’t do Kingscreek full time, which means production is slow. We didn’t want to set a solid release date in the scenario where we have to rush or do another long midseason break, like with the first season. Still, with the trajectory we’re facing, we can confidently say things are looking good for a late summer/early Q3 release! So unless we say otherwise, look forward to seeing Kingscreek return in August/September of 2026 (and perhaps, fortune willing, earlier)!
