i think there's something to be said about xenoblade 2's message about how blades are inherently tied to their drivers even to the point of looking or acting or sharing the same will as them, and how it's part of the grief blades go through and how it's unfair for the blades themselves, and how it takes five hundred years of grief for jin to realize that humans do the same thing over time, but how all three of torna's followers, including but especially mikhail, are not originally seen wearing the outfits that they do once they have joined torna, and yet all of their torna armor resembles jin and malos's armor in different ways. there are a thousand pieces of armor they could have chosen, and akhos chose armor that resembled malos's, specifically in his pauldrons and tassets, and armor that resembled jin's in the breastplate and even in his shoes. patroka's shoes (with the exception of the soles), the silhouette of her design specifically around the waist and legs, her raised collar all resemble jin's design, even with the small piece of armor she does wear, it's similar to other armor from torna itself, and she's also the one that tends to show the most doubt in both of her leaders, adopting less of them than the others. mikhail, who's armor very distinctly resembles jin's in nearly every way, with a handful of inspiration from malos's design. further, jin and malos both hiding their chest with the same plate through most of the game. it's part of jin's original design, but it was a choice malos must have made to guard his core. these are all things these characters would have distinctly chosen, and they're right in front of jin the whole time, and jin doesn't see that.
