Roy upon realizin that Scar is targetin State Alchemists:

No fr though this scene lives in my mind RENT FREE because Hughes is like, “You and Tucker are the only alchemists of note around here, right?”

And Roy reacts with pure HORROR when he remembers that Ed and Al are still in town.

And I love to think about the in-between of this moment and them arriving on the scene where Roy is like, “GO FASTER FULLMETAL COULD DIE.”

No because the scene they arrive to is Ed literally givin himself up ABOUT TO DIE too? Roy is mentally like, “Recruit another alchemist they said… it would be easy they said…” And internally mutterin about how no one warned him it’d be an angsty teen he’d get attached to and his adoring little brother.
