Bruce: Yes. His name is Clark Kent. He can be trusted.

Danny: Okay. *Writes note down* What about the woman next to him?

Bruce: That's Cat Grant, and no, she can't be trusted. Everything you say to her will turn into a gossip-lifting, life-ruining article.

Danny: Got it. *writes more notes*

Jason, watching the two from a few feet away: Say, who's that kid Bruce is media training? Is he a new ward he took in?

Tim: No, that's Danny Fenton, the face of Fenton Works. They signed up as a sub-company of Wayne Enterprise. Originally, they were a paranormal investigation and capture company- yes, I mean ghost hunters- but it was discovered that almost all thier tech can be used on metas. Bruce wants to make medical equipment that can be used by our enhanced citizens.

Jason: I see. But why a kid so young? He's your age, right?

Tim: Hmm, apparently his parents, the owners of Fenton Works, made him CEO so they could focus on ghost hunting and the occasional meta medical machines for Bruce. He got here a week ago to shadow me for CEO training, and Bruce stole him after they met outside my office. Danny hangs onto his every word, and I think Bruce forgot what it was like to have a kid actually listen to him.

Jason: Ah thats makes sense. What do you think of him?

Tim: Well, he's a little naive, easy to trick, and has way too much empathy for the cold world of business. I'm gonna have him in my bed.

Jason: Ah....well that took a turn. One I do not like so I'm gonna....*walks away*

Tim: He will be ✨️mine✨️

Remarkably competent (because he wouldn't hide that from a "student" the way he does from the wider public) and unusually chill. Most are one or the other. By now he has a LOT of experience explaining things to all sorts of people, so he's good at it and adaptable.

Yeah he started out inheriting a LOT but he also tries very very hard to do well by ALL employees AND the city AND give away as much as possible, he just has to do it via setting up his own damned charities because Gotham was corrupt as sin and its the only way to make sure at least most of the money actually does what its meant to.

And both Gotham and a lot of the world love him for it, so he never goes bankrupt despite his mega charities. (In most continuities.)

In dpxdc stories. Danny always gets assumed to be sick or uses it as an excuse or whatever to hide his powers right?

What if he wasn't lying?

It wasn't something easily noticed, not when half a dozen other things could explain it after all.

The shakes lingering? Well he'd used his ice powers a lot the night before fighting Skulker.

The faint feeling and lightheadedness? Well his mom had a good shot when people didn't interfere, and while he healed fast, it wasn't from nothing; he felt better after he ate anyway.

Heart racing suddenly? Probably just attempting to regulate the low beat on reflex again to seem normal but over shot it.

But the getting out of breath or spotty vision hadn't really been easily explained.

It was Mr. Lancer who asked about it after he'd gotten up from his seat in detention-happening less and less for actual reasons and more an opportunity to safely do his work and rest, after the truce with the ghosts to leave him and the town be during certain hours-only for the next thing he knew he was on the floor, head pillowed on Mr. Lancer's sweater, and a cool wet paper towel on his forehead and neck.

Divk: He's perfect! You don't understand! He passed out in my arms! And still! Still! Took the time to pun at me! Plus he's so clever! He's doing aerospace engineering! On scholarship! And he made all his own mobility aids! He's just so cool!

Jason: Are you going to talk about anything else tonight? At all? Or have we lost you entirely?

Dick: And he's so cute! Like! Jay! He's so pretty! He has freckles Jay! Freckles!!!

Tim: We've lost him. I'm going to do a background check. If this goes anywhere? May as well have it already done.

Babs: Way ahead of you. Frankly I suspect Dick is going to go there. At least Fenton passed the scholarship background checks. Only red flag is his parents. But him and his sister are no contact with them.

Cass: Huh. Bat bait too.

Steph: Wow. He really is. If it wasn't for the heart condition we'd have to worry.

Jason: Guys. This is the guy!!!

Tim: Wait.... This is the guy who sold clocked Joker???

Jason: He is! Look!!! Joker tried to attack the college. I got the footage.

Tim: Is his talking cane, wrist brace thing also a taser? I want one!!!

Ellie was over on the couch, sitting upside down and texting someone, probably Garfield: He's screwed, at least he'd like to be

Danny throwing a pillow at her and groaning: betrayed by my own family.

Tucker: Good news is fruitloop isn't bad, more like rich guy couldn't help like he wanted, which he still does too, so he went vigilante. So he'll likely be chill.

Sam: Oh, he's the one helping aunty Ivy with the cleaning up. Ok, he's allowed to be one of the exceptions. You can fuck him

Danny, sarcastically: glad he's got your approval.

Dick and Danny? Are fully aware and absolutely flirting in puns, the worst ones they can. Purely to PUNish their stalking people. They are having a great time. Now, of course, both sets of stalkers note the other stalkers. Tim and Tucker probably get into a hacking war and end up having to meet in neutral ground to communicate to each other. Both rather grudgingly. But, fuck it! That is their person's dates, people! Information exchange time. Jazz and Ellie move to Cass and Steph. Trade gossip. And probably heckle their person's terrible puns.

Sam likely ends up in some sort of tense stand-off with Damian. That resolves when they realise they have many of the same ideals. A grudging admiration is born on both sides.

Another thing in fanfics that I’ve see is that Johnny and Kitty were actually born in Gotham, and were part of 2 different crime family’s ( basically a Romeo and Juliet story ).

I wonder if Johnny and Kitty drive their motorcycle to Gotham, and sees Danny on a date they’re gonna bug him, maybe make a flirty type joke. Danny juste rolls his eyes and tells them to not make trouble.

All the while the older members of the Batfam (Dick, Jason and maybe Tim) are all recognizing these two teens/young adults that should be dead, alive in front of them.

Probably challenges him to a spar or something.

Ooh ok but, the bats and birds would probably be wary about telling Danny about their night life with assumed worry he'd stress over it, but then comes the thing of.

The new magic stops working after three days and every spell uses proprietary runes.

Right now however? Sam and Danny were watching as Tucker tried, (and failed), to get a boyfriend. Danny had pulled out the camera after the first failed attempt. Tucker was being the worst. Poor Croc.

The video of the second attempt went viral. And neither of them were ever going to let Tucker live this down.

Danny: And here we have attempt four.

Sam: You'd think the man would learn a new approach....

Danny: He thinks Mr Jones needs an aggressive suitor. Something about the guy always being seen as big and scary?

Then he moves on to foods, whole hogs and sheep, beef back, and exotics like moose and ostrich.

After that Tucker tries giving Croc clothing made to withstand his scaled skin and his rough lifestyle, beautifully designed to match Tucker’s Egyptian wooing-wear.

Red Hood drops in to interrogate Tucker at his flat. Danny and Sam are there for dinner and just look over. Like, oh hey! Didn't you want to see Waylon's parole furry?? Seems he has a parole crime lord instead!!

There was a funky compilation video.

It's HILARIOUS.

Because of course it was. Waylon has a resting Murder Face and muscles for days. He's being hunted for sport by a tiny string bean tech nerd that HAS to be asthmatic and probably reads tech manuals for fun. Itty bitty twig of a man. And here is this HUGE Meta going "EEK~! Not ROSES! Oh NO, weaponized hugging! He might take me DANCING! Run awaaaaaay!" Like the world's most BAMF looking tsundere.

The memes are brutal and endless. Thirst edits too.

Because honestly? The Reptilian Furries (which I can not spell to save my life right now, but are Scale-ies?) Are all going: "Saaaaaaame. Man has IMPECCABLE Taste." And people are Bonk-ing them with horny jail memes and reminders not to fetishize Metas etc etc.

All while Waylon is just? Look he's not even sure if he IS gay! Or Bi! Or ANYTHING! His dating years were spent being hated and feared. And adult years mostly in jail! Cool you jets just a BIT, my guy! He says, somehow folding himself to hide behind (mostly) behind Roy.

Gotham would be SO invested in their weird Meme/redemption love story? Its? SO Gotham. You other cities wouldn't GET it. Jones had a hard life, yeah? Made bad decisions. Is trying to turn his life around and find love. It speaks to them. They've all been there. Heck, they even heard Brucie Wayne reached out!

Wants to hire the big guy! Desk job and everything! And yeah, maybe it's some rich guy publicity stunt, but? They hope he takes it. Hope he MAKES it, man.

Tucker is trying to be respectful, and too about this. He swears. But he would really like his crush to give him even one chance? Please?

Roy: We need help. With Jones. Yeah, yeah.... Did you see the latest video? Yeah well.

Hangs up and points sternly at Waylon.

Look, Danny likes Batman.

He lives in Gotham and he doesn't want to die (the rest of the way) so obviously he's a least a little fond of the man and his family. In fact, Danny was a vigilante at one point himself so he knows how much effort the Bat puts into keeping the city safe and has appreciation for him.

He would like the vigilante even more if he didn't have deal with the stupid excuses for every time something happens to the Waynes during their nightlife.

Because Danny, like a fool, took the job of Head of PR at Wayne Enterprises.

Before him, no one had been able to hold the position for more than two weeks without quitting. The only reason Danny's been doing it for a year is because he's a Fenton and Fenton don't quit!

Plus a combination of admiration, coffee, and spite.

Jack Fenton pulls off a very convincing Brucie. Just releases him in a press meeting for 5 minutes and he’ll get distracted and leave on his own.

Jazz Fenton is occasionally seen in a wheelchair when studying for exams at a library.

Sam Manson, just with a simple pair of glasses, can easily pass for Casandra Cain (if glasses scan hide superman, they can hide a famous rich girl. Even more so if they actually manage to get her into the pink tutu. Pink and Sam is just not associated). She is ocationally seen with Duke Thomas who seems to be getting into technology more. (You’d be surprised how similar he and Tucker look without a beanie).

Dani just has to tie her hair up under a cap and she’s a pretty convincing Damian. Even lets a little green bleed into her eyes. Her filling in for him at the animal shelter is one of her favorite parts.

Poor Danny has to pretend to be Dick, Jason, and Tim all at once. Good thing they are barely ever seen in the same room with Jason being ‘estranged’ and Dick primarily living in bludhaven. There was that one charity event he had to pretend to be all three though (while Mr Freeze was attacking downtown). Danny’s Pr ‘uniform’ consists of a pair of glasses, a hat, and sweatshirt now, purely to make the transitions easier.

It gets to the point where Danny already knows a Wayne is unlikely to attend an event and has hired a replacement in advance.

It takes even longer for the bats to realize what their PR agent is doing. And only then because someone caught ‘Jason Todd’ calling ‘Brucie’ dad on video.

And it's literally in a council so everybody from the 12 + hestia somewhere just see z+p spawn a new god.

And the thing is he's like the most reasonable fucking person ever in ancient greece (especially the gods) because obvi modern sensibilities...

There are no more heroes.

They had to speed this up. They had managed to communicate the plans through Martian Manhunter. And they were close. They just needed to find suitable vehicles. The Batclan were the ones sneaking out of course. Alongside Phantom, her invisibility was a tremendous boon. Not that she seemed all that worried about Earth? Her and Red Huntress seemed to think they had back up that hadn't been taken?

They needed to find another freighter by prefence. They would be large enough to transport them all back. Batman saw Phantom perk up from the corner of his eyeline. She grinned and pointed to a new ship. Ah yes. That would be perfect. She turned invisible and flew off. Presumably checking it out.

Through the mind link she reported what she found. It was definitely a ship like the one used to being them here. There were thousands of empty stasis pods. It would be perfect for their needs. Now they just had to get everyone on board.

It was easier than expected. But then, their guards had been distracted by something lately. Now they just had to hope they were not too late. It would take days to get back to Earth. And they would use the stasis pods in rotation. Someone needed to be on guard at all times. But they needed to be rested once they got home.

A few hours from Earth and they started picking up their own signals. And.... Batman blinked in disbelief.

Batman: Phantom? What's this?

Ellie: Huh. Big bro went over board huh? Aww look! Huntress look! Box lunch is being Robin! Oh my heart!

Valeria: Yup. Typical dweeb. He's probably not even thinking about how this might look is he? Huh? Are those Watchtower signals?

Batman: Yes.

Valeria: Message them.

They heard a few rings and then a clearly irritated voice answered.

Danny: I have told your people I will not hand over the Earth! Piss of!

Ellie: Don't worry big bro. We escaped them. Sooo. I see you let Skulker out to play?

Valerie: And the old armies?

Danny: Oh! Oh! Ok!!!! Hi guys!!!!! Um! Let me message Sam. She is my liaison in the UN. She can tell everyone you're back! Unless you want to do a quiet reveal?

Batman: How did you get into the watchtower?

Danny: Ah Batman! Um. I'm a ghost dude. It's not hard.

Ellie: Yeah... I feel like a quiet reveal would be good? If we could meet your replacements and switch over quietly?

Batman: You just want chaos.

Danny: Cool. I can do that! I've cleared the docking bay for you. And I've put in a call for food and drinks and medical etc. And I'm pulling up all the news and reports for you!

Batman: Hm.

Danny: I'm a King. Can't be a King without paperwork. Unfortunately.

Ellie: Oh my Ancients! Give it a rest! You didn't have to fight Pariah Dark!

Danny: You both ok? Where were you guys?,

Ellie: Kidnapped by aliens. Sooo. What happened on Earth?

Danny: Oh you know. Chaos. As soon as we realised what happened Team Phantom mobilised. I got the army out to help fight off the alien invasion. Our frenemies took up position in the cities that have regular heroes.

Val: How did that go?

Danny: Soooo much politics! Obviously everyone thought we were villains or invaders at first. So there was lots of, we're on your side we promise. Sam went to the UN for me. That helped. Also, the uh. Shitty cosplay. Seemed to reassure civilians.

Batman: Why?

Danny: Well. I might not love on Earth anymore. But Phantom is my sister. Red is one of my best friends. I wasn't gonna let their hard work go to waste cause they went missing!

Val: Don't worry, he's always like that! Anyway. I heard reports were made!

Danny: Yup! All squared away tidy like. With video and witnesses as well! We kept Earth ticking over.

Superman: Thank you. You are Phantom's brother? What do we call you?

Danny: Phantom! It's our family name. It was my hero moniker first. Little gremlin stole it when I became King.

Batman didn't bother to suppress his smirk at that. It was a new and interesting insight into one of their more chaotic members. Superman just sighed. Well, he could hardly say anything. Both his boys went by Superboy.

Superman: So, King Phantom and Hero Phantom then?

Danny: Princess also works! She is a Princess of the Infinite Realms after all!

Ellie: No! Nuh uh! Hero, not Princess! don't even! I know where you sleep!

Superman: Hero Phantom it is...

Batman: Thank you. For keeping Earth safe

Wonder Woman: Yes. Thank you your Majesty.

Danny: Nah don't worry about it. This was my home too ya know? Just seemed to right thing to do. Although uh. If you could help dispel the idea that I'm now the King of Earth as well? That would be great. I have enough paperwork as is!

Val:.... I mean you'd be a better ruler than what we have right now?

Danny: Don't curse me like that!

Batman: How did that idea happen?

Danny: I mean... The aliens took over the world's government's for a bit.... Before I noticed and got rid of them? So for a hot second there were no governments.

Dani: you didn't

Danny: so I worked really hard to set up each nation's government again and may have made a few adjustments to unfair local laws to try and make things little better for their people while I could, and maybe that was wrong of me but making but they're under the impression they still report to me???

Dani: hah!! You did!!

Danny: and I mean, I may have removed a couple people after finding out about their shady deals but ...wait... what do you mean?

Dani, claps a hand on his shoulder: you set up a wide spread delegation system to rid yourself of the everyday minutia of ruling a large population. You. Set. It. Up. You delegated!! You gave out tasks and made expectations clear, and removed people who didn't follow them. You created a caste system!

Danny: no

Dani: yup! Only instead of nobility you have sanctioned politicians.

Danny: NOOOooooo!!!

Dani: no wonder they defer to you. Technically you never fully gave up control.

Lois: Oh? Our new King? Yeah total sweetheart! He's fine!

Superman: He was under the impression he'd managed to abdicate.

Lois: Hah! If he managed there would be riots! The people love him!

Ellie is cackling maniacally at her poor brother.

Danny: If I'm King. What does that make you sister mine?

Ellie has the sudden realisation and suddenly looks sick.

Danny: So. You gonna help me turn it back over to everyone else?

Of he tries to run immediately so the same tactic isn't used on him.

And it works for like 3 days before Ellie found him and got "defeated" again. This repeats like 5 times.

To insure it doesn't happen again Ellie then declares loyalty to her brother and vows that even if she beats him in single combat she will only acknowledge him as her King.

It's very sincere valve since Ellie was going to do this anyway, but now it's also full of gremlin energy due to Danny not wanting the throne and attempting to trick his friends and family into taking it.

Danny is a good King, the most reluctant leaders are usually the best at leading successful nations.

International law has now been standardized. Equity, justice and fair treatment are being promoted. Corruption is down. No government can get away with Cadmus level bullshit. Discrimination against anyone is now not allowed to be legally enforced.

And the floor show is great. The reluctant King doing his best to ensure he can retire. It's really quite funny to watch. Their Phantom is equally disgruntled. She was not enjoying being known as Princess Phantom. Wonder Woman had taken her under her wing. Showing her how to deal with being known royalty as a hero.

Where alien societies rule that a planet be unified under a single government to validate a criterion of civilization and to provide a right of legislation. Ho is now it's illegal to invade them

I can see several options.

Danny got Amorpho to play around as Bruce Wayne, and used duplicates with disguises for the more camera shy ones he could pull off.

Danny says he took them into protective custody because they are linked to certain heroes.

Danny actually takes a random selection of people into protective custody to give this a level of validity.

Danny has Technus go on their online profiles and make posts that look about right. With excuses as to why they are hiding.

...I just want batman to come back and want to know where Joker is and Danny be like: oh, he [insert terrible thing here], which is against [specific law], and with his record of treating his usual prison as a recreation center, it was decided to send him to a more secure facility. :)

Batman: hnn

Red Robin, trying to find news articles: when was this?

Danny: near the start of everything. So he's been there for [however long. Weeks maybe?]

Red Robin: and he stayed there?!

Danny: well it *is* in the realm of the dead. And he was made very aware that any attempts to manually shorten his sentence would result in a higher penalty. :)

Red Robin: .... which is?

Danny: death and subsequent ending of the soul should he become a ghost :D

Earth becomes a centre of lost crafts and history. Ghost Writer attached a door to his lair. So students can come and study. Without taking up physical space in the university. Ghost Writer loves it. He gets to have so many interesting discussions! He even has people willing to proof read his own work! Access to scholars who want to debate with him! He is having the time of his afterlife!

There are no more heroes.

Alicia: Well, the Johnsons really helped me out when my divorce was underway. I was too embarrassed to tell Maddie that the marriage she had been so against had gone under. Meanwhile, I had nowhere to stay and live out of my car. Mark Johnsons saw them towing my car one day while I was bawling like a newborn lamb. He offered to let me stay on his family farm as a farm hand.

Danny: That's was nice of him

Alicia: It's was. He saved my life. I don't think I've ever love a man the way I loved him.

Danny: How come I never met him?

Alicia smiling sadly: Mark had cancer. It was why he couldn't help around the farm. After three years of me living with him and his parents, we lost him to it.

Danny: Oh. I'm sorry for your loss, Auntie.

Alicia: It's alright, sweetheart. Anyway Mr. and Mrs. Johnson kept me around until I saved up a few and moved to my cabin. I come visit them whenever I can but their getting up there in age. Mr. Johnson is having heart surgery clear across the country, so I offefed to watch their farm this summer.

Danny: And I get to be your farmhand

Alicia: That's right. Oh, look, we're here. Welcome to Smallville, Danny.

Danny: Its.....small alright. I'm really starting to miss Tucker and Sam.

Alicia: Don't be like that. I heard the neighbors, The Kents, have a boy about your age. Who knows, maybe this will be a summer romance

Danny: Omg, Aunt Alicia, just because I'm Bi does not mean I'll crush on any-LOOK OUT! COW!

Alicia: *Hits break* SHIT

Clark: *Running over* I'm so sorry! She must have gotten out when I was fixing the gate. Are you two alright?

Alicia: *clutching her heart* Yes....I think we are. Danny? Are you alright?

Clark and Danny fell in love that summer. While they broke up when Danny left Smallville they remained close and saw/dated eachother every summer after that. They stayed together and moved in when they became adults and Clark moved to Metropolis.

Clark is more carefree and has taken over Danny's hemor and gremlin tendencies. Especially for when it involves Danny in any way.

Clark was there when Danny was crowned king of the infinity realms.

Eventually it escalates to Derek breaking into his room to watch him sleep because he just has to make sure that Stiles is safe (and also Stiles smells more relaxed when he sleeps and sometimes he has wet dreams that just tempt Derek). At first Derek thought it would be enough but it's just not, he needs to stick his face into Stiles neck. He needs to scent him and make Stiles smells like him. Derek cringes and wants to growl every time he gets too close and smells Scotts scent on him, even if its faint and he can smell that it's friendly and not claiming. It still grates on him. Stiles should belong to him, not his Beta. He could provide for Stiles better than Scott could ever dream of. He's the Alpha for fucks sake.
