KATARA & AANG IN AVATAR AANG: THE LAST AIRBENDER (2026). -> aang's stormy eyes vs. katara's ocean eyes :')
In a perfect world, Arcane Season 2 would have been centered on Vi and Jinx trying to uphold the opposing legacies of their dead dads Vander and Silco respectively while at war with each other and grieving, and there would be a million tiktok parallelism edits of them with the song Papaoutai by Stromae
Arcane is and was ahead of its time because honestly people are not ready to have the conversation that Silco and Jinx were not Arcane’s villains and unfortunately based on current reactions to real world events globally people are also not ready to have the conversation about how sometimes violence is the only way to fight back against your oppressors
This. I swear to god it's like some people intentionally miss the point.

so like, after s1 finale idk why they decided to backtrack on the greek tragedy they wrote but Jinx 'going back to being Powder'/'embracing Powder' was the only thing they could have done with her character in this scenario. the finale and the -back then- seeming inevitability and finality of 'Jinx becoming Jinx' carried a joker-esque 'the birth of a psychopath is a result of corrupt politicians' message and so since they couldn't continue this commentary, especially after they decided to make Caitlyn the ultimate commander and refused to make her morally grey (I think they didn't want to make her unlikable which would be inevitable if they committed to exploring her corruption), they needed to walk it back.
Jinx isn't actually irreversibly Jinx. and also Jinx isn't just a part of her identity that's basically a neurodivergent person's self-hatred (and therefore part of the commentary). Jinx was a phase and she gets over that phase and so that part of her life can simply be left behind. just like that. If a joker can just take a break and chillax to the point of not even identifying as a joker anymore then whatever was going on was a them issue and not a systemic issue. and ofc it was not that serious if it could be easily undone. no need to have to explore Piltover's oppression of Zaun anymore.
it's laughable that the whole emotional crux of s1 and its finale is the grief of Jinx going past the point of no return only for s2 to say sike. and for what? to dodge having to make the council look bad? after a whole season of making them look bad?? I'm just baffled by the switch from season's 1 attempts at making everyone look even a little bad to season's 2 deep fear of making anyone even a little unlikable, even retroactively canonically woobifying Silco.

The coup in Harrenhal leading to Roose being in a position to bargain with Jaime, leading to him helping with the Red Wedding, leading to him gaining favor with the Lannisters and being named Warden of the North, leading to Arya's name being used to solidify Bolton rule through marriage and creating conflict in the North, leading to Jon's inner conflict in ADwD and influencing Stannis' actions, leading to Jon betraying his vows and dying, leading (potentially) to Jeyne leaving Westeros for Braavos still disguised as Arya, leading to Arya reclaiming her name and returning to Westeros...Oh Arya, your impact
Let's talk about Sansa and Arya for a moment.
I write this in reference to my previous post in defense of the insults that the character of Sansa receives, and I am sorry that a part of what I wrote has been misunderstood by some people so I want to clarify this topic!
I'm not belittling Arya! In fact, she's one of my favorite characters in all of ASOIAF and I love the relationship she and Sansa have. What I said is simply my opinion (which I decided to write because it is one of the most discussed topics in the fandom).
That being said, I truly believe that Arya would not have survived what Sansa went through just as Sansa would not have survived what Arya went through.
Clearly I wasn't trying to defend Sansa by saying this as I think she would have died right away if she had found herself in her sister's situation. Sansa, as intelligent as she is, does not have the skills and personality of Arya and that would have killed her.
Same thing for Arya, as much as her character has grown and become strong, this in my opinion would not have happened in King's Landing because she wouldn't have received the same training, therefore she too would have died immediately. Arya, as sly as she is, is not as smart as her sister sansa.
I love how different they are, and as much as I hate what happened to both of them, these are the right experiences for them because they contributed to the growth of their characters and what they have become.
However, this is just my opinion, so I would be curious and happy to hear opinions from the fandom different from mine!
Arya, as sly as she is, is not as smart as her sister sansa.
I seriously get the feeling you have not read one Arya chapter after AGoT.
Arya is a hundred times smarter than Sansa. She saw right through Joffrey immediately while it took Ned losing his head at the end of the book for Sansa to realize the cartoon villainy of both Joffrey and Cersei.
Sansa survived in KL because she was Ned Stark's daughter and a valuable political hostage. That's it. No other reason. She didn't survive based on her intelligence or wits. The adults didn't kill her because they were arranging marriages for her with Joffrey, Tyrion and Willas and she was useful to them that way.
The same way they would not have killed Arya because they would be busy arranging marriages for her to secure the North and Winterfell. Fortunately for Arya, she was smart and could see through the Lannister guards in disguise that Cersei set near the ship to capture her and made her escape.
It was harder for Arya to survive the Riverlands and Harrenhal because she was just one of many peasants being slaughtered by opposing armies. And Arya did it by observing, planning and using the lessons learned from her teachers like Syrio and Ned.
Arya had no one looking out for her - and she's two years younger than Sansa! She planned and executed her own escape from Harrenhal and was the leader of her little pack.
And that's why we said that canonically Arya has survived tougher situations than KL using just her wits and intelligence and she would have similarly survived KL as well because the Stark kids are high value political hostages.
This is absolutely hilarious. I am still struggling to understand what did sansa do that was smart in KL?? She was legit only kept alive because she was a Stark which Arya would have been too. The only difference is that Arya probably would’ve been beaten a lot more as she would have been more defiant and proud, she would have hated to play along with the people who killed her dad compared to Sansa.
Reminder that Sansa blabbed about the whole Tyrell plot to Dontos which is why she was married off to Tyrion in the first place

THE MUSKETEERS (2014 - 2016) 104 - The Good Soldier Teach me how to shoot. Shoot? Sword-fighting as well. I've always liked the look of that.
Anyone who dares to say anything negative about my absolute queen Sansa Stark will be hearing from me.
I'm tired of seeing constant insults in reference to this character and the most hilarious part is that the only reason they give you to hate her is "oh my god she's so annoying"...like stfu (an eleven year old girl btw).
you sansa haters clearly DID NOT understand her character, you have zero and I mean ZERO empathy for a little girl who had to survive both physical and mental abuse, followed by torture and brainwahing by the ones she thought she could trust.
and most important thing, she lost everyone in her family even being laughed at from all King's Landing.
and no, Arya WOULDN'T have survived that shit, just like Sansa wouldn't have survived what Arya had gone trought.
please stop the hating and try to truly understand her character thanks.
Arya WOULD have survived King's Landing. It's not a baseless opinion, we have textual evidence of her surviving a far more dangerous situation even without the protection of her name.
I don't get why you perceive this as a slight to Sansa. You don't need to diminish Arya's acomplishments and skills in order to defend Sansa who has her own acomplishments and skills.

I'm gonna be honest for a second. I cant believe people still care about Taylor swift.
This CANNOT be left in the tags you came with RECEIPTS
Sorry, @akinari-kashihara , she invited who the fuck to her wedding??
Hi sorry
The contractor's company is responsible for running ICE's largest detention centre.
She is a billionaire who does not give a FUCK about you or anyone else on this planet but herself. And her music is not and has never been that good.
She has the kind of power and influence that could fix real problems in the world. Instead, she's just building circuses to keep you distracted from it all.
UNPOPULAR OPINION: A lot of "mental health issues" disappear when bills are paid, rent is secure, and the fridge is full. Peace is expensive. And pretending money doesn't affect mental health is privilege.
